Switching to wifi Ac from N

Hey Guys,

Currently my home network is working on rtn18u wireless N router, Wanted to switch everything to wifi Ac. Wanted pcie card for my PC and a card for my old laptop which is running 2nd gen i3. Can you guys suggest some best bang for buck cards ? i dont mind buying from aliexpress as i have had good experience with them so far.

I believe Intel cards, especially the 7260 series are excellent, albeit pricey.

Laptop you should ensure you have a NGFF slot. For the desktop, a NGFF/PCIe converter will do the trick.

i know you probably have done all the research before the switch, just ensure all your device you are planning to connect is AC compatible in that bandwidth .
And secondly range & stability of AC is not even close to N.

Which AC router you are planing to buy ?

I have not decided yet since routers are readily available. Wanted to sort the cards first due to not having many choices. Might get a 2nd hand from te market.
Regarding compatibility im sure all my devices are compatible. The cpu and laptop are lacking the ac cards just.
