Hi friends ...

I facing problem with my system from last 10-12 days.

Problem :- System boot time increase (OS Boot Time ) , System Lag/unresponsive , Applications take more time to run (Sometime not run),Games stuck (for a sec).

Do :-
1.Reinstall all components (PSU,Mobo,RAM,HDD)
2.Reinstall windows 7 (32 Bit)
3.Install new Drivers
4.GFX drivers (try 10.4 to 10.7)

I can't figure out what is the real problem ?

Need ur help guys .

Re: Help ! System problem again

run chkdsk and then defrag the hard drive.

also remove unnecessary programs/services from the hard drive and startup

check for a BIOS update as well.

Re: Help ! System problem again

System boot time increase (OS Boot Time )

Go to msconfig and set the boot time affinity to 2 cores.

System Lag/unresponsive

Does the numlock key toggle when it is unresponsive. Run a full virus scan / spy ware detection module(s).

Applications take more time to run (Sometime not run)

Same as above.

Games stuck (for a sec)

Uninstall all drivers, use the driver sweep method. Put on 10.5. Put this problem may still persist till the firs two are resolved.

What system temperatures are you getting. Any OC..?

Re: Help ! System problem again

Go to msconfig and set the boot time affinity to 2 cores.

Done. No effect.

Unresponsive means I can't click on any icons, taskbar(For 1-2 min .This happened randomly.).I check my PC using KIS 2010,No virus/spy found.

Reinstall drivers using Driver sweep method.Install 10.5

Done .No effect.

Everything is at stock.No OC.

Temp : - 30 @ Idle ,48-50 @ Load

Re: Help ! System problem again

Switch to the i5 system you were talking in the other thread.

Re: Help ! System problem again

i5 for what ? I dont think your current cpu is a bottleneck. I think the problem could be that you have just 2gb of ram maybe.

Re: Help ! System problem again

Can you see what task manager is showing -- I know it will be difficult to check, but try if you can. What is taking CPU resources the most..specially when the 'hang' happens.

Re: Help ! System problem again

I attach a pic of task manager Pls check.

Re: Help ! System problem again

how much virtual memory are you using. Is it custom or system managed ?

also if you can check your event viewer (windows logs) and see any errors showing up.

Try doing these

Install CC Cleaner and perform a normal cleanup and registry cleanup
Do a complete virus scan (Which antivirus do u use )
Run thorough chkdsk to check for HDD errors

Yes, the page file should be 1.5 x hardware memory.
Page file / Virtual memory - 2047 MB

Do as u say .Clean registry using CCleaner

Check for virus and spy using KIS 2010.No virus/spy found.

Also run chkdisk.No error found.

Disable virtual memory completely

Check the performance. Don't do any heavy duty stuff.

You can also add a USB pen drive as ready boost. Preferably 1 GB plus.
