System locksup after installing SP3 in XP

Hi guys. I installed winxp sp3 yesterday to run GTA4 but ever since i installed SP3, the system has been locking up. Can go online with no issues but when i try to run any game or run itunes or some other random tasks, the system stops responding and the only way is to reset the system. Tried reinstalling the video drivers and also tried disabling the startup & non MS services and programs running msconfig, no go. Itunes seems to work in safe mode i mean atleast the itunes window comes up while in the normal mode, the system hangs while trying to open the itunes window. Frustrated, tried system restore and went back to the point before installing SP3. Evrything is fine now but wats the solution coz i need SP3 to run GTA4. Pls help. Srry for the long post.....:(
 
try doing the below steps

1) Go to secedit.notlong.com and download the file and unrar it.

2) open the file which says "Dailafix" run it ( make sure u check all the boxes in the screen)

3) Then go to Secedit download it and run it

4) Now install subinacl from subinacl

5) Now run the following file Reset.bat

Now u can install service pack 3 and shouldn face any issues after installing and btb while installing make sure u have not connected any USB devices mouse and KB will do ,no IPOD or X360 Controller
