Main Use: Daily note-taking and reading at a coaching institute

Tablet Requirements:
  • Should come with a cover or support so it can stand horizontally for reading
  • Will be mainly used with Microsoft OneNote for writing and organizing notes
  • Wi-Fi is needed to connect to the internet via mobile hotspot (SIM card slot is not necessary)
  • Child is already using a Samsung phone, so is familiar with the Samsung interface (but it's not compulsory to buy Samsung)
  • Pen/Pencil which comes alongwith tablet is a must as welll.

Why did anyone not suggested the Motopad 60 pro? Comes with good screen , comes with pen/charger on box and decent specs. Shared as in considering this, my current tab is the galaxy 7 plus, have used the s6 lite previously. Price looks good to me.

I have Xiaomi Pad 6 and the official pen but I wouldn't recommend it because none of the apps are optimized for this combo. The screen starts writing when the pen is at a distance from the screen and that leads to some bad writing/drawing.

Prefer purchase only from amazon (no other site) offline shops if any nearby.
These are all the options from this topic so far, I found Xiaomi is leading in features, not sure about hardware specifications and durability.

Now will wait for members, to suggest accordingly

Get an iPad + using it with onenote is not an issue
I have been using onenote on ipad and syncing it with windows for past 4 years, never had any challenges with the ipad app in syncing
Rather the windows counterpart sometimes has sync issues (that is also max once or twice across my total usage)

Can you please suggest the configuration i must purchase ?
If its on amazon (well and good)
If with student discount from some other trusted source (will try for sure)
Still dont have Apar ID of student (will take 2 months as per school)

If you know someone with college email id it will work, go with official apple website.
you can opt for engraving(free) from official apple website which i won't recommend it will make it easy to resell in near future.

Basic wifi Variant is enough 128gb make sure its 11gen A16 (6gb ram) not 10 Gen A14(4gb ram). This will easily last you 5+ years.
Apple official web will only have 11gen
Amazon with credit cards disc you can get it around 33k ig, You can also go for Croma-Vijay sales-Reliance digital and other offline stores official price is 35k so its better to purchase offline if out don't go for credit card disc, you can also get credit card disc from offline stores, save yourself from online troubles.

Ipad 11gen is Latest basic Ipad so there won't be price diff(maybe few ₹100) online and offline.


This Cover would be perfect swap every 1.5-2 years.
