Actually the POV my friend picked up for 2.6K + 4% was a 500W and I don't think it is a TAGAN. The confusion took place cause Tirupati guys gave me the POV catalogue which had the Point of View Tagan 550/650/750/900 & 1100WATT PSU. Now I C they even ve a Black Daimond 500W True Power PSU but no mention of Tagan newhere.

Here's the link & Specifications which aren't bad & cost as much or less than the VIP & thermaltake.

hass33...can u plz confirm which model u bought with a linkie of the product.I think its the POV 500W which was selling for arnd 3k earlier. 4.4k will be a spell bounding price....give me anything at or below 5k for that Tagan/POV 650W :D

Edit---Ah what I thought,it was the POV BD 500W which is basically an el-cheapo PSU ....thats the thing I was afraid off....nw dnt burst our dreams of 4.4k for that tagan/POV PSU.Plz confirm properly with model nos as even internationally it sells for 150$ arnd.So i m suspecting the price so much as indian distris are well known for their confusion with diff model nos(Once the Zebby distri gave me a price of 3.3k for CM 550W real power ...thinking its price will be lower than extreme power 600W...as thats how they think with their limited knowledge :P)
 
When I went to Prime a few days back I saw Fortron power supplies there. I did not check the models or prices as I was in a hurry. I have asked Gulbir for the prices and I should get them today. Meanwhile if anyone goes to Prime please ask prices and post here.
 
Just spoke 2 ppl @ tirupati.

The cost 4 IX38-MAX Katana & 8800GT will be available only on Monday as their Boss is in Malaysia now...but he'll try & get the cost of PoV Tagan 650W & 750W PSU (which he reconfirmed, would be cheaper than HR 620) as soon as his boss comes online on MSN :P

Guys I m not any professional dealer nor do I ve the time 2 do full time community service...so I m sorry 4 the earlier confusion.

I was initially told, they ve a PoV Tagan 650W apart 4 the expensive Corsairs PSUs...when asked abt the 550W (cause it was 4 friend with E6300, XFX 650i, 8600GT, etc, which doesn't require a 650W PSU), I was told, they ve a Pov for 2.6K + 4% with these specs:- +5V (40A); +12V1 (16A); +12V2 (17A); -12V (0.8A); +3.3V (34A) 5V VSB (2.5A) which I told my friend 2 pick-up & spoke 2 bikey abt it.

Later I found out it was a Black Daimond & not a Tagan :@ but asked my friend 2 keep it as it was cheaper than the VIP/Powersafe 1s & performed flawlessly in +1hr Orthos, 3Dmax 06, Bioshock, MOH Airborne, etc @ 3.2GHz on stock voltage.

I ve learned 4m my mistake & will be more careful now on...but I m really sorry Bikey, 2 ve misinformed U without proper research...although my intension were honest :ashamed:

All said, I need 2 get me & a few other ppl, decent PSUs, MoBos, 8800GTs & more order will definatly fetch better prices.

As mentioned, I m not a dealer & don't intend running my house through the profits made through these deals but I don't ve the xtra time & money 2 do full time community service & pay 4 the expenses in organizing these deals 4m my pocket. I m doing the best I can & hope it works out much cheaper than what we'd ve 2 pay the retailers.

Pls try 2 understand & be patient.
 
@has33, please get the price of Abit IX38 QuadGT as the Abit IX38 Max is a DDR3 motherboard thus useless as 2x1GB DDR3 RAM is 30-40k here :no:
 
Dont worry abt it, anyone can make a small mistake. And you cleared it up pretty quickly. Thanks for all the effort you're putting in and do continue do to so :D

Bad News...Tagan will only be available after 10th NOV and all the PoV products, including Tagan will only ve 2yrs warranty. Price should definately be below 5K.

Tirupaty is getting the PoV 8800GT & will launch it around 15th of NOV...price should be around 15K. I asked them abt the MSI NX8800GT but they aren't so keen...they said, only if I ve an order of 4-5 cards.

What I m really looking 4ward is for WinFast PX8800 GT Extreme GPU locked @ 680MHz & Memory data rate @ 2GHz which should cost a bit more but launch around the same time. The non OCed version would cost much less & be here by 15th NOV.

We'll ve plenty of comparison amongst the different brand by then and also ve a clue abt the performance of RV670 against 8800GT.
