How about 4 months in a year? Yea thats right :) My connection went down Dec 23, 2006. It is now March 9, 2007. Heheh... the ADSL light hasnt blinked once in between.
 
Speeds halved now :(

Means they are now double of what they used to be, and so more realistic pricing like 500 bucks per month for 128k unltd.

I repeat, this is 7star division of TATA Indicom.
 
Probably its DSL ,my friends router is syncing at 2xxxk down and 8xxk up..
but not me!
looks like its my turn to speed boosts,getting 55-59k flat on my 256k plan :) ..

im also getting this but only sometimes. it will be back to 256k when i restart...
 
i am getting upload speed almost 4 times but download is still 256kbps...:(

still 2x paid speeds so nevertheless still good choice , i see several other ttata guys r now gettini 4x speeeds , who knows even if u settle for 2x speeds its still good
 
btw, whoever getting the speed jump on tata, can tell me what ur plan is(postpaid or prepaid) and what domain your username is at, @eth.net or vsnl.net or other..
 
I am on prepaid and the domain is @vsnl.net. Getting almost 2meg sometimes and its ADSL.



my plan is 256k UL
 
I never get good speeds at speed test sites,its like max 300-400 down..
though i get almost double that speed in torrents and http downloads..
 
I'm on postpaid infy 256 in Cochin. I had a static IP at first and I didn't notice any speed improvements, but after changing to a dynamic ip and a change in gateway, my speeds have gone up to around 512 :-D. Now I just need to trick the cc to change my modulation to adsl2+ to get speeds of 2 mbps :-(, right now I'm on glite.

actually i changed mine to adsl2+ but still getting only 300 kbps :(
