TATA Docomo activated unknown service and deducted my balance.... WTF?

I'm tata docomo gsm prepaid mumbai user.

Today morning i received the following sms from tata docomo and my day is on a toss........

Hi! You have subscribed to monthly good life pack at Rs.12.49 till 15/07/2012.
To Stop, Dial 155223(Toll Free) or sms STOP MGL to 57775(Free).
Current balance: INR 1.00 at 2012-07-03 07:58 AM


I was like WTF? :scared14: Since past one year i bought this sim for the sole purpose of only smsing and till date i had hardly made even 5 calls. Forget about any such useless services i dont even need them nor have any idea or interest about them. Still many times my bal got deducted for no use or activation of such crap. But now its a height of docomo and so i decided to fight for my right.

Even though remaining bal in my a/c is Re.1 whats more shocking is when i call their pathetic call centre they said i'm low on balance and hence could not connect to any customer care executive. WTF? :bomb:Previously i have made calls on low bal such as 15 paise and so on.

Will i get my lost balance as i never ever subscribed to any such pack/service????
Also on their website such service does not exists as to what i researched.
I tried calling nodal office and its even pathetic...the no. isnt in use anymore and only way to contact is via email to which those hopeless guys never ever respond.:nf02:

Shall i recharge for some 5 rs and try calling cc? but i fear i may looses the recharge amount also if the pack value is more....:(

Please if any mumbai te docomo user can help me out in this condition i will be very grateful to him/them. Right now i'm ill to visit their gallery.
 
Getting refund from docomo is a cakewalk
i think they deduct balance and then refund it immediately after complaint purposely just to show their customer friendliness

CC call center guys are not at all helpful
try their online chat complaint

if that doesnt help..
just send sms for MNP
soon ull get a call from their CC
state the reason that balance was deducted and didnt get a refund hence switching to airtel/vodafone/bla bla
they will refund immediately and call back to confirm,,,
 
Call them up and tell them that you have not activated any service. If they refuse to refund, tell them you will take this up with DoT/TRAI as you have not activated any pack. DOnt worry, you will get your balance.

Also, you can call even on zero balance.

My entire balance of 120 had been deducted around a year back.

they will refund immediately and call back to confirm,,,

good to hear that. As per TRAI regulation they cannot activate any service without a confirmation from the customer. Tell them this and threaten it should work.

If that was the case ever and if they even bother about it, they wouldnt had ever activated such services from their sides and there would not have been 10000 of complaints all over. I'm referring to all service providers.
I guess only prepaid customers face such crappy issues. Postpaid users are safe on this note. My vodafone postpaid is serving me the best since past 7 years now. Touchwood. And even my friends on postpaid airtel, voda,loop etc. too have no issues like such auto service activations etc.

Well, good to know that your issue got solved, even i was overcharged for a call I made to a number. I spoke to a senior exceutive and got the amt refunded.

As for the postpaid is concerned, i think they will not activate any extra charges. But then, you pay extra for postpaid, so it kinda nullifies the issue. As for postpaid, there are other hidden charges too, which just inflate the bill., especially in the case of Vodafone.
 
@vivek.krishnan: I dont know mate but vodafone is serving me loyally and i always and daily keep a strict track on my usage and on billing date i tally the same with theirs. So till now there isnt any hidden charge as yet. I use my vodafone just for calling and docomo just for smsing.
