hehe argus u cant sli those dual 7800gts. Eddy i think you should be safe enough with 2*7800gtx's 256mb. I really don't see if anyone could afford 2*7800gtx 512 just to challenge you guys :P

About the processor first decide on a benchmark, if you are going for 3dmark 06 dual core would be the best option. Also keep copies of 3dmark06 for people coming in for the challenge since its a fairly new benchmark.

Nope you cant, the SLI lanes of each 7800GT chip are interconnected with each other on the dual 7800GT whereas on a normal single 7800GT card you have these SLI lanes present on the SLI 'finger' at the top of the card to bridge it with another card.

Plus considering they communicate over the PCI-E bus instead of the SLI bridge, i'm guessing you'd need a dual 16x lane board to make good use of it .

darky might be able to get u an A8ne 32 :P

and even if those cards were available, id rather suggest you to go with an x1900 xt CF setup, hehe :P

Eddy see if u can get in touch with mediatech they might have x1900 series in stock.
 
Y dont yall just go with the quad sli setup that dell has come up with. Man that is going to something you want to look at.:ohyeah:
