Just an update guys - Unfortunately DDR2 owners will not be able to take part in the competition.

So DDR2 owners will not be included in the final list of candidates. Apologies for late information,

P.s - Everyone who have posted their entries please mention max Mhz supported module by your motherboard manufacturer as well.

I have updated the main post as well.

^ why these new rules?

The previous type was better. Separate segment for similar config. In this type, only the ones with high end system will be able to take part. :(

^^ Cant help it. Sponsors have made it that way.

BTW DDR3 works with many low end platform too Core series from first gen has support for DDr3 modules, AMD platform from Am3 has support for DDR3 platform so its not a big deal.

See if you can arrange compatible Mobo and processor for short period of time.

it will be better if you guys run a separate competition for all guys...
maybe a closed clock super-pi challenge...

+1 to this. Why not arrange an OC competition like previous times, if you are worried about price, then you can either go for a small joining fees (say Rs. 50 or so...), and the winner will get all the money. OR arrange the competition without any price, i am in for both :)

Its not the prizes, but that the focus of this competition is on memory overclocking, so DDR3 users will easily outclass DDR2 users. We'll try having another OC competition later :)

in that case, i will wait for the future OC competition
