TE should have its own Magazine--Monthly edition..

we used to have a newsletter back in the day. stopped because nobody really had the time. If someone has the time, then i think its a great idea :)

Arggh... get back to the topic people ! I'm willing to head the mobiles section if we have one considering i am blogging about them professionally and generally have access to high end cell phones for review purposes. Let me know !
 
We can start it for free... but when we have sponsors, content writers/designers/editors can be payed in form of tech items :) (honorarium kind of) so that they can stick to TE...

have started working on it few days back and soon will put up something...

If u have an article/review/or anything to do with this magazine, then pls contribute...

Why are you waiting for someone to get deputed?

If you have an idea involve people and work on it yourself, in other words lead it yourself
 
yes, I recall I wrote the newsletter for one month. I just checked with the mod in charge of the newsletter, got the go ahead, and had it ready in a week. If you follow TE regularly, it shouldn't be too hard:) all you need is the initiative and the skills
 
How about starting a public voting poll for the ROTM and MOTM like we had it previously? :P

We need not bother the admins much and thus can include them in the newsletter each month.

Need not bother looking too three way between toolius, anks 24 * and Udit. Just shuffle between them.
 
Actually there are others as well and it doesn't simply mean splurging cash on the best hardware in the market. It could be a carputer, an HTPC, a download rig and the likes. Unique and innovative at the same time. ;)

And if they win once, they do not stand a chance to compete for a period of time. Udit has already won the ROTM award once. And so have I (duh!) and several others. But there are others who have been desperately upgrading to show off their systems. :P

+1 to this. ROTM and MOTM thing is a better idea i believe. Also, online newsletters are the way to start, hard-copies in form of magazines can be considered later as an annual magazine, which comprises of newsletters from each and every month constituting the activites (review,etc.) happened at TE all in one place. Thus we can have an annual thing in our hands, with everything of TE in one thing. It can be considered as a collectible too then. :) Just a peice of advise. :)
We should also start using the TE blog and make it open to members for writing. We have only3-4 entries since the blog was put up and that too from Admins. :) Just like we have Mods, Admins here on TE. Some staff should be appointed as Editors, Designers, etc. :) It will add more to TE's reputation and we'll have some competition in the form of contribution too.
* Gannu should also be given a special designation, like 'Sherrif' :P as he's the most active guy here as i've noticed who adds something useful to the forum in form of spamming (kidding). i mean something with this point. Also he's one of the experienced guys here. I'm sure he can dedicate some of his precious time for the cause. He can be an editor-cum-supervisor for what to approve and what not.

Also, we have members who have keen interests in different sectors, naming few such as Dhruv-Mobilephones, D-payne-Photography, and others too, who have a great pool of knowledge. They can blog at Te with their How-To's which can be useful and will add somethign useful for everyone.

with all due respects to DarkAngel and Faheem, i've not forgotten them, they are the gurus, how can one neglect them. I just cited some names as an example.
