Okay, so I've been a member of TE for some time now, and most of u guys just might know me... and I'm also a member of TDF... I joined cuz I heard loads about this site...

To start off, I've had a great experience with this site, this forum and all members they are all very learned and fun people and most of all, ardent helpfulness, which is found in abundancy here. Sure theye are some joints which don't click. I myself hav gotten into some arguements with some members, but if I, knowingly or unknowingly caused emotional harm or anyone/hurt anyone, please forgive me as I never intended to.

The forum layout is great, the site is quick loading, and new interface(changed about a month or two back if I remember) is refreshing yet simplistic.

Now about the bad part.... MODS, and some rules, make like suckier than PISSTA/Vista here... yes true... I mean sarcasm is dead and cracking jokes almost leads to infraction points...... I think my rep+ points are the only thing saving me from a temporary ban despite all the infractions i've been inflicted upon... and sometimes I felt, WHAT THE F*CK u A**H*L3 mod u game me an infraction for that???? But I went on, determined to continue to be a part of this great community....

But well....I think its high time... and I've taken more than I think I shud hav been hit with..

Goodbye TE, will miss u(the members, not the mods at all)..... bye guys.. and remember, ever need any help... I'll be there at TDF .....

If by that you mean cracking jokes at other's expense and being sarcastic just for the fun of it, then I am glad you are going. There is no excuse for being a douchebag and making fun of others just for your own laughs. The anonymity of the WWW and the forum should be used, not misused or abused.
 
@compaddict, isn't lack of active participation of mods the main reason why many left TDF? I really commend the job that mods are doing here. I too have recieved some warnings from mods and I am trying my best not to repeat those small but silly mistakes (like creating duplicate threads). The mods here make sure that noone gets hurt here. And we need to respect that.

All in all, I am more than happy with the amount of moderation here and I will stay here and also will make occasional visits to TDF.

Nope I think it was because we were lenient before, hence your infractions would timeout. But this time you crossed a line, knowingly or unknowingly. Puns and jokes are abound in TE, but no one takes a personal dig like you just did.

Was this the GTX480 incident? Was about to report but, it slipped my mind I guess. Not that it mattered. The comment was in really bad taste

I personally didn't like the way this sample made a comment as it was uncalled for. Just how hard can it to use a civil tongue?

I've seen quite a few ridiculous posts of his before.

+1 your are post bad manner to another member about p0rn is lack of behavior and not good idea for hurt another people

p.s just keep post in proper word without any Torrance thread or else quit at your choice at your life and i am not force your ;)

It seems you wrote this post in a fit of anger and resentment. Try to think things out in a cool and concise manner. How would you have felt, if someone wrote direct connotations to illicit/perverted images thematic to your personal family. Yes, we all make jokes/fun of each other, but there are some areas we waiver clear off. Not much harm has been done, I would personally prefer you stay on here, since I know you from TDF. You provide excellent insights -- specially regarding product price points and overclock (my personal favorite). All forums have their own rules and flavors, and rightly so TE has its unique character. We have to adhere to it, to remain an integral part of the portal. Believe me it is not that difficult.

Remember 'change is the only constant'. Change for the better, learn from experience, and we all will be better individuals. Give it another chance. Though your personal opinion is yours. Think it out. Best of luck.

And what a coincidence, my Skythe Fan controller (Phoenix), was just now delivered to my desk at office. :) This is TE.
 
For a couple of months his posts had reduced a lot over at TDF. TDF seemed much better during that time.

As for the moderation, I feel TE is moderated pretty well. We need such active moderation in forums to keep them clean and to prevent them from becoming a spamhouse. We could do with similar moderation in any forum. Good work mods. The only problem with TE that I find is that there is a lot of threadcrapping even though measures have been taken to prevent the same by changing the registration process. Something must be done for the same.

not as long as you do not personally offend anyone...

many of the members do pull sarcasm and personal digs at each other at times but you have to realize that those involved have mutual understanding most of the times and are just kidding around..you can't do that with a random member on the forum you barely know....keep into consideration that not everyone is of your age and your friend to have similar taste and tolerance in sarcasm...
