GF, this is TE pub server, so better not change map as and when we want, it not that we can not do it but did we do this then poeple will stop playing on our server ;)

I duno if you guys have noticed this or not but the server is full 98% of the time :hap2:
I think its doing pretty well. ;)

VE and TE on DD2 are 16/16 filled up
tmg on train is 0/13

also when the admins asks the players what map they want and make them vote it makes them feel good (asking them their choice) and they keep comming back to the server.

like I said before I am ok with any map even if its icework I am ok with that as long as server is full and everyone is happy :P

And in your first post you stated that i started a vote like i did some kind of crime by starting a vote.

And yes i will start vote whole day after 1-2 hours, i am doing that for 3 days, 24x7.

If the dust 2 is played for more than 2-3 hours i put up new map after single map vote. And i have set timelimit to 0 so that map wont change to train or anything other which will result in empty server.

Like you said, me too dont have to justify what i do on TE server to you. Certainly not to you. If switch, smith or any of the admins have any objection i will answer to them.

If you didnt want answers to why i did what i did then why come here to say that, there are multiple admins monitoring the server at a time. If anyone had any objection they will tell me and i am as open minded about things as anyone else. Everytime something happens that you dont like you want to make something out of it.

What i do on the TE server is in the best interest of the TE not mine and not yours.

Whats your problem if the t.MG Server is empty?
Makes you two feel great inside, that the great tMG Clan server is empty and Team TE Server is full???

If you care more about the Singaporean noobs, playing on your Server, and "Enjoying" as you put it, rather than TE Members, enjoying, then i dunno what to say.
 
Ad1... First things first.... Its not about TMG vs TE server... Plz... And i am more then glad that you have posted this query on TE cause for other servers you dont even have a public place except for the server to register your query by talking with mods on server itself...

Coming to Funky 12 ppl o the server... Then why vote :P... 12 is a good number...

funky, only started the vote, coz he knew, that the vote would win and coz he wanted DD2. Im dead sure about that.
 
I dont know why, but whenever its a CSS server or player issue, everyone starts blaming each other...Now dont start it on me too.

Adi is right and so r others...

We must understand some things as Admins guys...
1. People like to play a map they are accoustmed too and DD2 tops that list.
2. Scrimmers always prefer first match starting from DD2.
3. As tefosi said, UK and Canada has other maps, but still DD/DD2 are the highest played on maps anywhere in the world.
4. I love to play on train, nuke and inferno, but I too must admit that as soon as you change the map to these maps in a pub, normal player replies are "WTF" "Why changed the map?" "Please put back DD2"...and players even start leaving, and the frequency of new players joining too decreases.

And the most important thing...
In pubs, there are a number of campers...In DD2, this number reduces as the places to completely hide you are nearly none. But you can find a hell lotta such places in other maps. And when people will start camping, nobody else will be complaining/slaying them except me and you. Camping becomes a big issue and fast.

And last but not the least...When u play other maps and the frequency will be like DD2, you will notice that we get bored of any other map much faster than DD2. IMHO.

I hope I am not saying anything wrong. Even if I am, I dont mean to offend anybody.

the only reason I put tmg here was because it had train and nobody like to play that map wanted everyone to see it thats all
I mentioned VE server also what happened? why u dont say anyhting about that?? The great VE server full! OMG !!! :P
now drop it enough of calling people names.
 
I hate DD2 but its the only map everybody wants to play, whenever u put something like nuke or train, everyone leaves...

so i wud rather play wid 12 plyrs on dd2 then 3 plyrs on train

TE server is not for your own or my personal pleasure any time you want. Its a public server. 10 of us are contributing and managing this server, its a new server and we wana put good face in front of inormous crowd out there playing css.

Come on in at 9PM, i will lock the server and play whatever maps TE members decide for 2-3 hours. Rest of the day its a public server. People get what people want.

Err why was the thread closed. A healty discussion was following. IIRC its a case of old players Vs new ones i.e. CSS is one game thats growing at a rapid rate, most new players are accustomed to either dd or dd2 which is the reason they are so well preferred. South east asians (exc indians) are different animals ;) they like dd2 no matter what. Other players who've played css long enough get bored of dd/dd2 easily.

However most people playing on TE or any other SE asian server for that matter like DD/DD2 very much as mentioned before and sadly thats who things work. We need to set a popular server else people leave the server. Being a relatively new server in the scene we need to be known and be popular first before trying something else. Even in UT2k4 onslaught ONS-Torlan is the most played map ;) and its the case with a lot of games, there is bound to be one immensely popular and likeable map. You and i don't dictate popularity just cause we own the place.
