TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with the annual TED Conference in Long Beach, California, and the TEDGlobal conference in Oxford UK, TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Program, the new TEDx community program, this year's TEDIndia Conference and the annual TED Prize.

This year its happening in Mysore India :O

Just saw the list of speaker on the site..amazing people..a treat to the mind i say..would hav loved to go, had i been in somethin more creative..:(

^^ well he's talking about the talk by him at TED event held in Mysore.

I got to watch the entire event (live streaming) cause I work in the same location where TED was held.

It was held in Infosys Mysore .. and guess who works there(ME!!!!!!) .. it was a really good Event and we had the Live feed for it available on our intranet

imho TED india was pathetic. Nowhere close to how good some of the earlier ones have been.

Anyone tried with the hi-def MP4 (300MB) there ?

I've had playback probs with it, sound works but video for some reason wont :(

...the SD MP4 (23MB) plays just fine.
