Activision Publishing, Inc. today announced that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesâ„¢: Out of the Shadows, a new, digital download-only video game inspired by Nickelodeon's new hit animated series, will be available this summer.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows,
is a third-person brawler game set in New York City, taking gamers through articulated, true-to-life environments filled with action-packed adventures as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Featuring an original hyper-realistic 3D-style, gamers can experience four-player online co-op play while stomping out the Foot Clan and unleashing turtle torment on any foe that gets in their way.

With an immersive world, deep character development, and an intuitive,
skill-based combat system built around combo-driven action, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows puts ‘Turtle Power' in players' hands.

Seems like a good game coming up..
Good old memories of TMNT Tournament fighters refreshed. :)

Looks more like the TMNT game that accompanied the movie.

Just wish they would remake 'TMNT 3 - The Manhattan Project' just like Double Dragon Neon. Do not replace the classic 80s-90s Turtles, do not try to make it 3D or mess with the game mechanics and do not water down the difficulty.

I think this is based on the TV series which airs on Nickelodeon. Of course the expectations aren't high, but it wouldn't hurt to try out the game. Double Dragon Neon was still a bit weird compared to the original NES version. So re-creating a game from that era is really tough. The closest game I could associate with a true retro vibe was 'Scott Pilgrim V/S The World'. Unfortunately, that was console only.

Looking good! This would be the second TMNT title for me after The Manhattan Project I had played back on the NES.

Epic OST.

Most certainly was an epic OST, especially the final Shredder's level music. I remember me and my friends camping up at my place and taking turns to battle each other out. I had almost every move set memorised. LOL @ Raph's front humping move.

I heard about this on twitter but WOW!! I didn't think it would be that cool till i watched the video.
Hope it has a co-op. That would be epic. Will pre-order it for pc if it does have co-op.
+1 to the ost. NES <3

The manhattan front ( or something like that..the fighting location featured in the screenshot of the vid above) was my fav and indeed Shredder's blurry punches and Kasey's twister move were finer things villains offered in that combat. Ralph's humping move was esp frustrating as an opponent cuz it got executed even if u were in the block mode. Had to ban it to ensure a good decent fight..

Nice to see that the Raph's drill move has been incorporated. Hoping to see Michalangelo's hand springing his feet as a jet propelled projectile taking off, Don's forward flipping, and Leo's spin with his blades out. Incorporating the victory jig def will be a good idea :p

On harder difficulty level, Shredder's attack would almost double the pace. The HP drain inflicted on us was quite immense too, especially that power slam move.

True. It was a really cheap move, but one of the funniest too.

I would love to have one of those genuinely hilarious moments from Manhattan Project where you would get squished and be rendered into a flattened turtle, also when flamed by an enemy our face would completely be toasted and they would look towards the screen and blink. Last but not the least, falling in a manhole and saying "Who turned out the lights?"

^ Yeah, -Who turned out the lights- was indeed nicely thought of, being consistent with the goofy ways of the Cowabunga dudes :)
.. And the power slam by shredder was just brutal and dreadful.

But with all these trailers already coming out, i dont think they ll be accepting any suggestions/ideas from the viewers. There should always be some subtle/secretive polling for the features people liked back in the day so they can be included in a reboot. A revamped HD version sans those pure win moments will def feel like half a baked thing.

Looking forward to this game. would be the 3rd tmnt game for me. One on the nes and other the movie one. :D

^ Why do the guys look like pi$$ed off bada$$es in the above post?

I saw a TMNT episode on Nick today in the morning and those guys didn't seem so serious or angry instead they were pretty funny reminiscent of the old TMNT cartoon. The cartoon was pretty likable.
