Plot:
"In the highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

So in Terminator 4, aka Terminator Salvation, we won't have Vin Diesel who is busy doing , but we will enjoy the acting of Christian Bale and Sam Worthington: that's a damned good bargain!

Moreover according to Christian Bale this new Terminator movie will be a kind of reboot in the way that Batman Begins utterly transformed the Batman franchise for the best.

Terminator 4 is going to be an explosive blockbuster: It will blow up the box office!

Terminator 4 is Fatally Flawed
Terminator 4 will not include Arnold Schwarzenegger according to Dark Horizons. If this is true then the movie has a fatal flaw that will be difficult to overcome. There is only one way that Terminator 4 can be successful without Arnold.

The full title of the Terminator 4 is the Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. But without Arnold, I am doubtful whether or not Terminator Salvation will be able to save me from the death of this beloved franchise.

Arnold has become iconographic of the Terminator. Producer Moritz Broman has his work cut out for him if he thinks that he can create a Terminator without Arnold. Terminator 3 was weak even with Arnold and I have my doubts that it will be any better without him. The Terminator TV show is the first nail in the Terminator coffin. I am sad to see that Fox has made the Terminator into cheap Battlestar Galactica TV dribble.

The only thing that will save Terminator 4 is if the filmmakers accomplish what George Lucas failed to do in Revenge of the Sith. Initially, George Lucas filmed an hour and half space battle for the beginning of Star Wars 3. He only kept two minutes and 1 of those minutes consisted of buzz droids which were as gay as Jar Jar Binks.

Arguably the coolest part of the first two Terminator films were the beginning scenes showing the terminator machines battling the human rebellion.

As we move into the rise of the machines, Terminator 4 must provide stunning visuals of the battle sequences between man and machine. If they do a George Lucas and skimp us on the battle that some of us have waited since childhood to see, this film will be the final nail in the Terminator’s
coffin.
Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Still Considering 'Terminator 4' Role
Arnold-Schwarzenegger-Signs-For-Terminator-4-And-True-Lies-2-2.jpg

Action man-turned-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has given Terminator fans the hope that he could return for a fourth film - if it's shot in his adopted state. The Austrian-born superstar isn't involved in Terminator 4, which will star Pathfinder actress Moon Bloodgood and Christian Bale, but he insists he hasn't ruled out a return to the franchise.

He says, "I've never had a dialog with anyone about it. But if they shoot the movie in California, I would (be a part of it), yes."

All the Pics are fake.

It is unclear if Arnold Schwarzenegger will have a part in this movie , according to a recent interview Arnold was quoted saying that "I've never had a dialogue with anyone about it. But if they shoot the movie in California, I would [be a part of it], yes."

Imagining the Terminator franchise without Schwarzenegger is very weird , lets hope for terminators sake that he has a role in the movie. Although I am grateful that Chrsitian Bale will be playing John Cornor. I hated Nick Stahl in T3.

Lets hope to see great Arnold Schwarzenegger again:)Me either hated Nick Stahl in T3,That was dumb.

No Arnie, No Terminator. As simple as that. They should have stopped it at Judgement Day.But *Sigh* some directors just don't know how to get their act together.:(

FFS, they need to stop the Terminator series.I can't stand to see it going any more further than T3, since T3 was a total flop, T2 should have been the last of the Terminator series. And those pics are obviously fake.

What was wrong with T3 :S ? I loved every second of it :D But even I cant imagine a Terminator movie without Arnie. Even with Bale playing the lead , Arnie has to have a Guest appearance.

Are you serious?T3 was a joke, believe me I'm a HUGE Terminator fan, I've seen T2 literally 75 times and own the special directors cut edition which includes the deleted scenes.T3 was total rubbish and painfully cheesy in some parts, for one, a machine cannot decide what its priorities are for itself, its meant to do what its programmed to, so when the T-800 reprograms it terminate John, he couldn't just simple ask the Terminator what its objectives are since hes system was overwritten by the T-800, plus the lamest part was when it shut down its own system to safe John:rofl: ...that was absolute rubbish, what next? he buys John some flowers?

Terminator 2 gave me goosebumps, Terminator 3 made me want to barf.

T3 was a huge joke, the mini series is 10 times better. And yes, if bale is playing the lead, expect it to be atleast as good as judgement day, if not better. I have yet to see a bale movie which is not awesome :)

T3 was a good action movie but it didn't really have that feel like the previous two Terminator movies. Maybe Nick Stahl ruined it, but the movie felt sort of lame compared to the thrill of the other two.

And I can't wait for this one, like Aces said I've yet to see a bad Bale movie and maybe they realized what was wrong in T3 and fixed it in T4, it just might turn out to be like Judgment Day.

Arnie made the Terminator series what it is today, he is irreplaceable. Maybe if you look T3 from story point of view , it may have its shortcomings but then the whole concept of Terminator movies always seemed a big joke to me. I never watched terminator movies for its story element , I watched it for Arnie. And despite his old age , he did very well in T3. You have to love T3 if you are a true Arnold fan.

Speaking of Bale , I heard he gave an unbelievable performance in Steven Spielberg's WWII epic Empire of the Sun (1987). He was just a kid back then , has anyone seen the movie ? Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the same ?

Yeah,Bale was still a kid then but his performance was incredible for his age.

Ive got the dvd....

But u have to watch The Machinist if u want to appreciate Bale's best performance.

The only reason T4 even interested me in watching the trailer was Christian Bale. Hadn't it been for him, I would ignored any news about T4 after disappointing T3.

Although I agree that Terminator without Arnold is weird thought... I wish they wouldn't have made T3 is first place, it was a big joke and insult to Terminator series and Arnold himself.

If they're planning to reboot the Terminator series like Batman, I'm fine with it. But only weak link I see is the director. McG is fine for making popcorn action flicks, he is not my first choice to make masterpiece movies. Christopher Nolan saved Batman... I doubt McG could do the same to Terminator, though I hope for best.

I have to go with what Floccy said. T2 is one of the best action movies ever made and there really was no way that T3 could've topped that even if it was good which it wasn't.

Sad that the thing is fake! :(
That half-human-half-whatever chick is frickin' awesome!

Did the guys go the extra mile just to make a fake teaser for a non-existent flick ? :cursing:

Somewhere i heard abt arnold being in upcoming terminator not as a actor but rather rendered in 3d just like the rock in the mummy!
