The 1990s / Early 2000s IndiPop Scene

Despite being a kid of the 90s,I actually preferred listening older songs of the Mohd Rafi, Kishore Kumar era and still do. So apart from the famous hits of Bollywood and Indi-pop that came on TV, never really listened to these songs as most listening material, whether cassettes or radio were of older songs. Bollywood cassettes still found a way home through Dad, but no Indi-pop music was ever played in my household apart from me watching MTV and that too rarely.

Two of the ultimate songs with lyrics I consider Gold are from Ishq Bector. His 2 songs are "Aye Hip Hopper" and "Daaku Daddy"

Not really an indie-pop, but I have very fond memories of listening to this song back in the early 2000s (aired on MTV/Channel V constantly).

It's remix of Koi Shehri Babu by Shashwati.
