I don't think AK has any chance of winning against Modi. Very unlikely. But I don't understand why he is doing this. And also he is contradicting that earlier he said there is no divalopment in Gujrat and people vote for Modi cos they don't have any other alternative. If he actually believed that, then he should have contested from Gujrat & proved himself.
It is not first time he is making contradicting statements like this. Earlier he said Modi will either kill or buy his opponents. Since AK is still alive, does this mean he is bought by Modi?
I really don't know why he is after Modi so much. I thought he was after corruption, so after BSP, SP, Mulayam and Maya he finds only Modi to contest against. Why not contest against Mulayam or Maya, win and let them not come into power?
Mostly he knows he will lose and then he go back to Delhi & contest for CM again. May be people will give him sympathy and comes to power with a full majority? Sigh.
On the other hand, BJPtards getting butthurt cos of Assange and Wikileaks.
He has to be in the news. How else do you think the media will give some common man like him coverage for the whole day? I think you posted the video of India TV guy 'tearing' AK a new one, but I have a feeling that that's exactly what he (AK) was looking for. At this point, most publicity is good publicity for him.
You can question his motive, tactics and even whether he makes sense but honestly, he is making a name for himself here. If nothing, he can at least be a significant leader in some parts of the country in the long term and he might end up becoming the chief minister a few times or heck even the PM - a la Deve Gowda, Mulayam Singh, Behen Mayawati
P), Bal Thackery, Farooq Abdulla etc etc etc. Once that is done, the ground work is set for his family/future generations to milk his stock (a la Rahul G, HDK, Stalin, Uddhav, Raj, Akhilesh, Omar Abdulla etc etc)
So for one man with no political background (?) to be even considered for such constitutional posts is achievement enough. (how he gets there is a different matter altogether)
EDIT:
His strategy to run against Modi will pay off very well. He wins - he becomes a giant killer and if he loses (which looks more likely) he will portray himself as a martyr.
Modi has everything to lose in this and he will put in a lot of his energy to save on his campaign to save his face
