So I was wondering which is the best 3d experience . Till now I have only seen 1 type of 3d that is anaglyph 3d in which you wear those red and blue glasses . But the effect wasnt that good as the real colors of the video/game/movie were somewhat not visible . It was too much of red and blue to enjoy the movie/game . Can anyone tell me how the polarized 3d experience feels like ? the theaters now days use polarized glasses right ? What I mean is do the real colors stay as vibrant as they are without glasses ? Also what about nvidia shutter glasses ? Cos if they don't what is the point of watching a movie with a few dominating colors :X ?

In my opinion 3D technology still has a long way to go before it becomes mainstream. Its tedious to watch a 3D movie, at times quite distracting too. The best 3D effects in a film I have seen was in Transformers 3 and even those weren't mind blowing. I am sure 3D is the next big thing but like I said the technology is still very much in its adolescent stage and has a long way to go before gaining acceptance from everyone. The day I watch impressive 3D effects without glasses is when I would acknowledged this technology, till then its just another gimmick for me.

I have used the Nvidia 3D for a while and its as good as it gets, best in terms of 3D experience and very comfortable. I usually get headaches in anaglyph 3D movies, altho polarized ones are ok but still far behind the shutter glass ones.

@bluffmaster I didnt mean which movie has the best 3d experience . I mean which technology has best experience . As Rahul said anaglyph 3d gives me a headache too also the colors are all overpowered by the red and blue lens whats the point . But since I have not watched polarized 3d I cannot comment so I want someone to tell me does lets say a green forest look proper vibrant green through the polaroid glasses or does it look washed out like we see in anaglyph . Shutter glasses also i have only seen pictures of and they have such a dark lens .. do the real colors get overpowered by the color of the dark lens ?

Best 3D experience is with polarised glasses only (the sturdy ones, not the flimsy paper cut outs). Have used the active shutters and left a whole lot to be desired, especially in brightness. Anaglyph is not that good either, colours are not accurate, plus you get a headache too.

I did not feel any color washed out in polarised glasses. in active shutter, the colors are same but brightness is decreased. nvidia plans to counter this issue with vision 2.

I have seen many types of 3d but unfortunately couldn't enjoy any of those as they LOOK 2D to me :((..

Anaglyphic, Red/Cyan and Green/Megenta both! - Was great when i was a kid but when i realized left eye is Red. the red side seemed darker :(

Polarized 3d - Colours were better than Anaglyphic but still dark

Active Shutter Glasses in Cinema - everyone seemed convinced at it but i couldn't even see the movie properly. let alone in 3d. whenever i go in group for watching such movies i have to take off those glasses to actually enjoy movies.

Parralex Barrier -- this was very close to the 3d experience I wanted. on my nintendo 3ds when i saw it but as i turned my head by 5 cms in any direction the image distorted. :(

and last but not the least..

I have even tried those glasses with 2 different Screens for both eyes. Picked up the only available movie that i could get supporting that type of 3d. "Blood Sisters" 1/2 porn low budget movie. BUT THIS WAS THE WORST type of 3d.

this made me very dizzy. as i have epilepsy issues. :( I could say that even anaglyph is better than this

I am having myopia with -1.25 number glasses. and i guess i see dead people. maybe that could be issue :-s
