The story is a sad one indeed. It began in September last year, when @BurnBoy147 purchased a CPU off of me, and arranged for it to be shipped by Shiprocket. Shiprocket literally sent the package to the moon and it never returned. He was also denied insurance because apparently it isn't valid on secondhand products. While I had explicitly said that risk was the buyer's, I do feel a little outraged at it all.
Therefore I've decided to refund him 50% of the purchase cost if all the listed items in this thread/post sell out (and his attempts to retrieve some compensation are unsuccessful). Do your part, boys (and girls, though I think it's all sausages on here)!
Please note, shipping logistics and risk is still yours. I may be old and soft, but not that soft! So here goes:
1. Gigabyte J1800M D3P + 4GB DDR3 1333 - Expected Rs 4000. Dusty, but works fine. Purchased around 2015 IIRC, and ran as a server for about 3 years.
2.Intel Atom DN2800MT + 4GB SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 + Intel Centrino N300 adapter - Expected Rs 4000. Dusty, but works fine GONE!
4. Intel i3-3220 + PowerX H61E motherboard (100mbps LAN and USB +SATA 2.0 only) + 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM (mixed types, see pic). Expected Rs. 5000. The scratch on the i3 has zero effect on performance, is an artifact of when I got it. It was purchased for me by a friend who blew up my 2120 and I have no idea of its antecedents, but it benches fine and was used 24x7 for almost two years in a server. Only recently upgraded to a 2200G. I can extend testing warranty on the i3 to 3 days.
5. Intel Xeon 1280 V2 LGA 1155 4C/8T 4GHz Ivy Bridge CPU - Expected Rs. 4000. Excellent condition, equivalent to i7-3770, but there's no iGPU and memory controller is little bit higher latency. I have benches that put it around the level of a 7600K in MT. It was flying with 16GB memory, but the motherboard finally died of old age and after enduring multiple lightning strikes over the last ten years.
6. DDR3 1600 4GB x 4 sticks, Expected Rs. 800 each stick.
All of the combos and the Xeon were captured using lshw on the Ubuntu installer, so nothing here is dead. I don't have spare installation media for Windows, and only older references. The J1800 and the 3220 combo are great as fileservers. The DN2800MT is great as a headless media player endpoint, it's dead silent and needs very little power. It can run off a hard disk adapter if need be.
As before, shipping logistics and risks are yours. Do NOT use Shiprocket, they'll screw you over in a heartbeat. I will listen to reasonable offers but this is a chance to show camaraderie. Remember, some of this money is being donated to a good cause!
