yes..it would b future proof when u later want to upgrade its ram...

DDR3 is faster than DDR2, but looking at your usage it wont make any difference.

Only if you ever upgrade RAM, DDR2 is expensive than DDR3.

But keep in mind that when you want to upgrade in say an year or so DDRII would be completely out dated and price might have gone up a bit due to lower volumes
