The Cricket World Cup Is Coming Back To India.

hello cricket fans,

wanted to post it yesterday, couldn't do it. well, the 2011 Cricket World Cup is being jointly hosted by India, Pak, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.:hap2: the last time we hosted the WC was in 1996. lets hope we will see some of the infrastructure of the stadiums being improved and new ones being built.

Waste more money on meaningless things..... continue to ignore the people who really need the money..... Instead of spending 100s of crores on stupid cricket, they may have as well spent it on poor people...

Of course, the upside of this is infrastructure will be upgraded....

we ya this gives them an oppurtunity to improve the infrasturcture here to a great extent... which i think they should and they can do , as they have all the resources!

Congrats for India's unofficial national sport. One can only imagine how much revenue the BCCI will pull in and keep it for themselves.

Hey, at least World Cup and Commonwealth are making them spend the money on something other than themselves! I say yay for the World Cup, not because its actually being hosted here, but the govern will now have to tidy up the city's

cmmon hardly 10teams play international cricket...every 3rd cup has tocome in asia.........and 4 teams will host it.....so 4 of 10 gone.......

then austrlia newzealand....2 gone(6/10)

then england (7/10).......

west indies......days r gone...and sa doesnt giv big bucks as other does....

Actually its the ICC who get the revenue and they just pay a paltry sum to the host countries. But at least this will act as a wakeup call to the BCCI to upgrade the stadiums. Most of em are decades old. The only stadium that is decent in india is Mohali.

Reading TOI I see
