I just read this and I Turn on my Zune wamboom its dead WTF :@ It hung now it wont boot :@ Hung at the start up screen

Even 3 days back I used this and everything was fine.

I was on the latest firmware too :@
Apo what firmware are you on ??

My Zune was on 2.x and still its dead. Zune does not even get detected and hence no chance that a software/firmware update can be done by us at home. So basically all of us are pretty much screwed as we cant do anything about it unless it starts working miraculously after a few days. :@

What an awesome new year gift, you MS Mofos :@
 
^^Yes, all we can hope is that it starts working magically after a few days..... Otherwise all of us are screwed.... Lucky guys in the US might get a replacement .. but rest of us back in India aren't gonna any M$ love....
 
I can try to get some info by tomo as one of my manager has not come to work today..

Y do not u folks call Microsoft iff u are under warranty .The process is as follows

1) Call 1-800-936-5700 from Skype .Tell them you are calling from US

2) They might ask you for phone no ,tell them that you are not ready to provide or give some crap no and a mail address also

3) You will be put across to Zune Tech Support

What a lame reason :@.I am lucky i do not own a zune,but got a call friend my sis saying that her zune died now i have to fix it :@
 
me stuck with a Zune but currently in dead condition since I lost the datacable so cant charge it...damn couldnot find the cable anywhere in mumbai:@:@

anyone knows where I might be able to get it:(
 
isnt this like.. sad? that a company like MS wouldnt know this would happen and stuff? that too for the ONLY mp3 player brand they promote?
 
We have six more hours ..... Hope our lovely Zunes start working by that time.... Guys please post here if its working at the specified time mentioned by M$......

Same problem here !!! Damn M$ had to screw up somewhere

Zune 30GB (Latest Firmware) stuck at the loading screen...

Have to wait till evening to see the ZUNE through...

Why oh why did MS screw it up on the first day of 2009. It seems like someone's gonna get a hurt real bad in 2009. Both my zune's are suffering right now :'(
 
My Zune 30 is frozen. What should I do?

Follow these steps:

1. Disconnect your Zune from USB and AC power sources.

2. Because the player is frozen, its battery will drain—this is good. Wait until the battery is empty and the screen goes black. If the battery was fully charged, this might take a couple of hours.

3. Wait until after noon GMT on January 1, 2009 (that's 7 a.m. Eastern or 4 a.m. Pacific time).

4. Connect your Zune to either a USB port on the back or your computer or to AC power using the Zune AC Adapter and let it charge.

Once the battery has sufficient power, the player should start normally. No other action is required—you can go back to using your Zune!
