I placed a preorder for the 16GB version ($249) and a cover ($19.99), the total came to be $309 inclusive of all taxes ($24).
 
People who need additional storage, please note that this supports USB OTG. Not the ideal solution I know, but I can live with it if I am getting a tablet as good as this for just $199.
 
^^ USB OTG is merely a saving grace for not having a memory card slot. It is not the problem that USB OTG was intended to solve. The general thumb rule in designing such tablets is that if you want to cut costs by not including lots of internal storage, then just include a memory card slot. 16GB is peanuts these days. This design decision is going to sting Google.
