Sad.

But I am still planning on getting an ECS GTX450 or the Inno3D if the prices are right.

nVidia all the way, I have used nVidia cards and found them to be more better, please don't ask for exact stasitics, this comes from a GeForce4 MX 440 -> ATI 9600 -> Palit 7600 GT -> inno3D 8800 GT -> XFX HD 5770

It will surely come below 8k ...GTS 250 was all old stock imported at higher prices :P
AM guessing Zotac GTS 450 will be 7.2~7.5k a month after launch :P

Zotac GTX 460 1GB DDR5 which is 229$ launched at 14k ...now is 12.5k or lower :P
Hope so!
But,unfortunately Zotac hard to find in Kolkata...

LOL.....just go to Aditya Infotech and get from them directly :P...and these days with so many TE dealers & ebay why waste time going to shitty Chandni Chowk :P

Bad move..

it should be less than 100$......

It perfoms just about 5770

An Sli of GTS450 could beat GTX460 by just 5 fps......

too bad

less than $100??

are you kidding?

thats like HD 5670 pricing..

this will be a hit, if after a month it comes down to 7-7.5k mark...made to beat the HD 5750...

and later a GTX 455 (also in news) can be introduced to compete with the HD 5770..:)

I heard that Sapphire does that..is it true?
Sapphire may do it. But then it has an indian warranty for 3 yrs. But US warranty is just 2 yrs. Plus Sapphire is ATI exclusive and irrelevant in this case.

Hey Guys I have a Query?

Are the GTS450 Cards backward compatible with PCI E x16 1.0?
yes, it will run.. :)

did anyone notice that some of the contact pads on the PCI-e connector of the GTS 450 are missing..

it still manages to run on x16

It's probably too late. I mean the 6xxx series is just round the corner and I think it will be offering a lot better performance at the same price, right?

Yea the lower end one are coming out first but i think pricing will be higher so they might have to drop 5000 series cards prices.
