ok starting this thread for all discussions about the ipod product, its specs and pricing and everything.

i just found out and saw myself that the new ipod nano is out in 4GB for rs. 6500. i thought they were out in 8 and 16gb only. thats funny. alfa is the source he has ready stock
 
Nice initiative....my younger bro wants to buy a player 2gb preferable, which one is better ipod shuffle or creative zen stone plus ??

on paper no doubt the stone wins, but there is something about apple that makes u wanna buy it surely. i have used the shuffle audio from it is mind blowing for sure. if u can live without screen and radio get the shuffle for sure orelse if more features are needed get the stone simple choice really.

i hope all ipod threads live only here hence forth since they are popular so we just do one click and we get the page for ipods. if needed mods please make this a sticky

PRICE UPDATE : IPOD TOUCH 8gb : rs. 11500, i guess this is the old one..

Newer nanos ONLY in 8 and 16Gb :) Fake ipod clones?

IPOD Nano 4GB only pops up Indian sites. Must be fakes since its not been listed on any official apple sites.
 
Its possibly Previous Gen Nano.

The newer Nano is ONLY available in 8 and 16 GB.

Edit: There's a 4GB version too, for 6800 bucks.

+1 I agree :) Those will be the stock clearance older gen ones ;)

Anyone spotting a 4Gb newer version, FAKE clone :)

Look at the chinese for inspiration n confirmation, NOT difficult for them to make clones that look similar ;)

Please NOTE:

1. Apple caters mostly to the US market, they have never done anything exclusively for India, there are other much better markets they can serve first ;) + horrible pricing here too ;)

2. IF there was a 4Gb, dont you think it would have featured on SOME tech sites till now? Even if exclusive to Asia or something? + Apple worldwide would show it at least. Apple has nothing to lose.

So this is definitely older gen/fake.

yes i did buy 2 of white e71's yeseterday itself. it has been an insane shopping month for me and my gf. includes plasma, handycam, phones everything. today also a computer and another white e71. i am going in a while to my dealer regarding the 5800 and then later to alfa regarding the same. will update in evening or night. cheers.
 
@ everyone : alfa does not have a lot of the old gen nanos for clearing anymore they are selling the old nano for 6600 4gb in silver. the new nano 4gb is for 6500. it is not a fake at all. the ad is also in papers today from apple itself that they are selling 4gb for rs. 7100. i do know what ipods are like. i have owned 3 ipods and 5 iphones. so its not a FAKE or CLONE at all. its the real thing... all the prices above are true. yes the older nano is 100 bucks more i guess because of its big screen. i was expecting a good deal but i let go listening to the price.

Well, i just went through the newspaper AD published in HT today, and its little surprising that there IS a 4GB version selling at 6800 bucks.

Its really strange as Apple didn't mention about any 4GB version.

trust me even i found it funny. before i posted here i went on every apple site no info about the same. i saw it in front of my eyes the damn thing is real and not fake at all. its weird. ill check again if the price is with bill or not.
 
The UK's Pocket-lint got hold of an Apple spokesperson who told them Apple "made a limited number of 4GB iPod nanos for some international markets, but this is not one of our main configurations." Mystery solved, we guess -- but that "limited number" bit has us thinking this was still some kind of mistake.

I vote that Apple or one of the suppliers made a mistake with the memory chips during productiom :rofl:
