Dogs are so loving animals,nothing comes close to them.And if you can afford the luxurious nothing like it.

Name change to Dexter and that's going to be permanent
Yes!! It is already one of the best decisions of our life, we were so lucky to get him it was fate... The rescue place only had him for a week and had two other families coming to check him out before us. The first family had a child that was too young for a dog this size, and the second delayed a day. We drove an hour and a half after work to go and see him as it was our only window of opportunity... we fell in love with him at first sight and took him that same evening.
Name change to Dexter and that's going to be permanent

I liked Dante too, but Dexter shortened is Dex which I like a lot, and this is what we will end up calling him most of the time once he understands his name.
We were really worried about him for a few days as he had a really bad Kennel Cold/Flu he wasn't eating or drinking much and the vet said he would be ok on Monday, but he started getting worse and he was thin when we got him. Last night he suddenly perked up and was eating much better this morning.... so we are really relieved as we thought he might have pneumonia.
