Well, this is something which we all do with our PMP and the audio devices. I have not seen a thread regarding what tech freaks like us like to listen to. Im an amid music lover and probably without music life would seem colorless! During my school days, i had a band of my own gradually i was into Rock, Hard Rock, Punk, Metal, Heavy/Death Metal and so on so forth. After i passed out, and when i got my ticket to clubbing. Shifted my likes to Trance, Club, House music which is indeed pleasure to my ears.:ohyeah:

Some may like the old R D Burman/Kishore Kumar era, some may go for old classic rock like The Beatles, some for our typical Bollywood songs, and yeah of course some for Metal and Trance.

Also, what we can share is what artist is playing in town and where. And also Indian Music scene about upcoming Indian bands if anyone is interested, because i feel Delhi and Bangalore have plenty of them and people hardly recognize them.

So why not share our taste of music and keep others posted on the latest developments about your favorite Artists and the latest hot numbers on the list!:cool2:

Wow..!! Nice thread.

I generally like anything which is melodious. Well, and I generally hate noisy / loudy tracks, rock, metal, death metal etc.

My favourite band is GnR. Yeah, I know they are rock band, but their music is melodious, so their rock seems pleasure to my ears. :P

I also like Country, Pop, Blues, Jazz, and sometimes I like Hip-Hop, Rap etc.

Some of my favourite tracks are:

1. November Rain

2. Sweet Child of Mine

3. Mama I'm coming home etc.
 
Only Hindi songs. Absolutely no english. Dont understand them.

OT:

Things like Country, Jazz etc have meaning as follows for me

Country - Any country in the world

Jazz - Katrina Kaif's name in Namaste London

Pop - The pop up that comes on my office PC when new mail arrives

Blues - Monday morning blues

Hip Hop - Where i have to move my hip and hop from one line to another in my office food court.

^i Too was like you till the 10th standard until i joined gym. Never understood anything and i felt i would never like it. But realised it during my fyjc exams that i have started to like them.
How? When i was writing my exam paper all those trance music tracks were being played in my mind.
Then later when all those inspired hindi songs came which started to just copy paste the english music, my interest in western music grew more.
Although i am not any specific kind of music. I am more into pop, rap and hip hop.
 
Recently, I've started following a new group known as the Swedish House Mafia. Awesome tracks, really loving it.

Swedish House Mafia, is a group of 3 DJs who are ranked in the top 20 best DJs in the world. Well, they are creating magic now.
 
Can anyone recommend me bands similar to Rammstein and Evanescence?

For Rammstein, I have tried Ruoska (which is pretty shit) and Oomph (which is good in its own way although not like Rammstein).

For Evanescence, I have tried Within Temptation, Xandria, We are the fallen (all of which are good, Within Temptation being the closest).

I also listen to Megadeth and Metallica, Megadeth being my all time favorite band.

Thanks for the suggestion but Nightwish is having growling vocals in many of its songs but I'm looking for gothic bands with clear vocals.
 
I listen to only classical music now western and Indian.

Used to listen to rock, Country and R&B, but get headache nowadays when i hear loud noise.

Guys can you recommend some kind of compilation albums which have rocking songs like the following:

Basically beat heavy songs with catchy tunes and meaningless lyrics so that I don't have to concentrate on them (but not instrumental please) :p

EDIT- whats others similar to Justine Barber songs. Not for me, its for daughter.
