^ I am not sure about the cost dynamics of the mobile cameras, but I don't think a 5MP fixed focus without flash would cost the manufacturer 2K. My guess would be somewhere sub 1K.
 
^^ A 2 MP camera units costs a max of 2-3$, couple of $ more for LED Flash ! 2k cheaper no way....may be 400-500 bucks at max. A 5MP unit with AF and LED Flash also will cost within 8-10$ max .Didn't u ever visit ifixit/isupply stuff ?
 
Alright, I did some Googling, and apparently, the N8's camera costs Nokia around $31, which is approx. 1400 bucks. This for a top of the line stuff. This makes me think that even my prior 1K estimate is probably too high for a basic 5MP camera. A 300 bucks might be more plausible
 
So,may not be 2K but could be 1K cheaper.

Then phone like C5-03 may be 7K instead 8K.

But,very few people may be don't want camera with all those high features.

I heard Nokia X1-01 got high SAR value ?

High SAR value harmful for long term use ?.....
 
As if the loud colours were not enough, now they have made the back panels (pathetically cheap and) glossy!! :@

Great... Who is designing these phones for nokia?? Third graders?? :S

Whatever happened to the good old fingerprint/scratch resistant matte finishes??
