I have a similar relationship with racing games. Only racing game i really loved in the past 3-4 years was Burnout : Paradise.

EDIT : IGN has removed the release date for PC and has put there TBA, but no confirmed source found yet

Absolutely, till date I couldn't get any version of Dirt 2(steam using my code with HD5850, or pirated) to work. I have tried after 3 different OS clean installs, could never get it working.

Frustrated, I sourced Dirt 1, and bam, disappointment hit me soo hard, I was glad I didnt play Dirt 2.
 
Dirt 2 makes circuit racing (read GRID, NFS Shift) look like a chore. Steam shows Dirt 3 not available in your region, hmmpphhh.
 
A noob question. The PC version of the game - will it be enjoyable on a keyboard? I dont have a contoller :ashamed: I havent played any of the Dirt games.
 
You can play racing games just fine with a keyboard, although they are best enjoyed on a console with a big TV and a bean bag :)

Well, if you liked Grid you 'might' like this game.

If you played grid and stopped after a day or two, this game ain't worth it for you

You should try it.Keyboard will still be enjoyable.Dirt is mainly a simulation but it caters to many tastes,its not just for rally fans.Especially with all the different modes to try the game should be fun.

I never got a chance to play Grid as well :ashamed:

Was just curious whether a keyboard is enough in a game like this where a lot of drifting is involved. But, it looks it is enough, atleast for now. I have decided to get this game. Pre-ordering it now. Thanks guys :)

Keyboard just cuts it, but a controller is for real fun I'm serious. And unless you like serious racing games and serious handling, dont order this.

Wait, easy way, if you love NFS Hotpursuit style racing games, you'll hate Dirt.

Well, I liked NFS Hotpursuit style games. But, I loved NFS Shift as well. I guess I will give Dirt 3 a try. Maybe I will get a controller as well sometime in the future. btw, Codemasters should have released a demo for newcomers like me.
