Description:

Super Meat Boy is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux.

Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old needles.

Sacrificing his own well being to save his damsel in distress. Super Meat Boy brings the old school difficulty of classic NES titles like Mega Man 2, Ghost and Goblins and Super Mario Bros 2 (The Japanese one) and stream lines them down to the essential no BS straight forward twitch reflex platforming.

Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul crushing SMB will drag Meat boy though haunted hospitals, salt factories and even hell itself.
And if 300+ single player levels weren't enough SMB also throws in epic boss fights, a level editor and tons of unlock able secrets, warp zones and hidden characters.

Me too. :P

Not to mention, those warp zone levels giving me an instant deja vu of Super Mario, only 10x more difficult. :D

Its a nice game, but honestly it didn't tingle my nerves. If I have to simply clear levels, give me Angry Birds any day, or even Super Mario would do nicely.

The game is uber awesome :)I'm now in world 2-17.

The best thing about this game is what seemed impossible a minute ago is easily do'able now, and a breeze within next minute. I remember Dieing like 40 times in 1st world boss fight.. now I can cross it without even falling once. And that feels awesome. Not the levels but this applies to the A-B points with in a level, as well. One A-B point in a level which took us 10 tries is a breeze after we find out another A-B point which will take the same amount of effort. And it goes on and on.

This game is not about the experience we have had while trying to complete a level, but about the experience we had during that last try in which we beat the level. Simply suburb.

what dyu think best controls the hunk o' meat?

despite the gamepad promotions at the start, i think nothing beats the keyboard

I was thinking of posting in this thread. :P

This game is really really fun! :D I'm addicted to it since a couple of days now. :P

It's kinda easy once you get the hang of it.

The real tough part is getting A+ and collecting bandages in the dark world. :P

BWAHAHAH this game aint coming on the wii and the retail version is pretty much cancelled :P

btw this game is AWESOME i LOVE it bought this on the steam sale for 3.75 Worth Every penny

LOVE it

Started the game. Its just awesome.. Finished 2 worlds and my mind is blown into tiny little pieces. Playing as a Meat Boy with a controller(precision jumps and turns) feels great.

I probably died more times playing SMB than the combined deaths of every other game in my life. But the satisfaction after beating a level after hundreds of deaths is like nothing I've ever felt. Thumbs up. :thumb:
