No, it was a casual snapshot. I was chatting with my son, leaning back in a chair on my verandah, just pointed the camera and clicked. I cropped the picture from 5472x3648 pixels to 2000x1800 and posted it here. No Photoshopping or editing in any way. The forum automatically resized it to 1600x1440 and probably reduced the quality a bit in the process.

As with most such casual snapshots, I put the settings dial on P. I've just checked the shot's EXIF file and the semi-auto settings were: ISO 125, aperture 4.0, shutter 1/500. If this had been a serious photo session, I would have used a tripod, manual settings and a self timer set to 2 seconds..

Here's another shot of the same bird taken a few minutes earlier. No sharpening, editing or enhancement in any way. Straight out of the box, just close cropped. I hope this one escapes being resized or modified by the forum software.
