The CPL helped the cause for the background. The bird was a tad more overexposed than what you see. Did some dodging/burning to neutralize the exposure.

hey which CPL filter do you use?

Can you suggest me some affordable one that can do the job? (72mm)

I use a Hoya 77mm CPL. $40 and it works great. I'm not too sure how good cheaper filters will be, but this one is decently priced and good enough.

Very nice shot btw, but the watermark is too strong. Use overlay or some similar mode to have it blend into the photograph and not distract from it.

Used a CPL filter here again. That's Downtown Seattle in the background.

Two exposures+ Cokin B/Y filter = one for the forground + sky =Blended =>Post Processed

It was taken with Cokin B/Y filter + SR Reverse Grad => then imported in Capture NX => Exported as Tiff => Imported into CS=> Final touches given in CS=> Exported as jpeg.

@delirious : you nailed that shot even there hell lot of distrotion can be seen in the lower half(characterstic of UWA lens) ,but composition is fantastic .
