Saw the movie yesterday or so....
Didnt find it extraordinary or so.
The end is infact a perfect hindi movie end.

What took you both so long to watch the movie:P

And yeah, many people did not like the ending. I thought it was decent. They had to kill those guys. Otherwise some "impressionable" young minds would have got the idea that you can kill and get away with it.

I am not talking abt you and me here :P I am talking abt the lakhs of youngsters from the rural and semi-rural areas. They should get the clear message that killing is wrong. I think Mehra has handled that part of the story very well....

I loved the way the movie goes from being a sort of DCH to RDB :P I mean, till the interval, they show only the young people having fun and partying and enjoying life. But then in the second half, they relaise that there is more to life and I love the transition.

The movie is awesome..... but its been praised sooo much tht if u watch the movie noe thn u might not find it extraordinary cause your expectations are soo high.....

One thing i didnt get is where did the movie say killing is wrong??? it didnt say killing is right either...

about the climax well..... movie like this can only be ended like that... hey did anyone come to the special screenin of RDB at IITM.... there the writer n director said they worked on the climax for like 3 mnths cause they didnt wanted to kill the boys but coudnt write a more convincing climax thn this...

well the guys getting killed itslef says if u do wrong stuff u get a worst ending.........also if the guys had remained alive...i dont think the movie would had gone that better

Killing of the wrong is not a sin and is perfectly justified. Not speaking in the movie's context but in the general context.

I agree with you Broker. If someone came to me and asked for money to kill criminals, I would sponsor him without a doubt :P

But then, the law does not see it that way.

The Law, Lawyers, government and the police (sometimes) themselves are party to criminals, what will they see it in that way!!

I agree with you 100% Rahul!!!

But then, whatever said and done, the LAW says that killing humans is wrong. PERIOD. Nothing we can do abt it.

If you really have to clean the system, hold a public hanging of the worst criminals(criminals who pose as law protectors i.e). Make a public spectacle out of it. Warn everyone else that if they dont fall in line, they could be next.

Hopefully, in some ways, that could help.

But I feel that most of the judges are quite decent and sensible. But the problem is that when they say something the politicians say that the judiciary is interfering with politics. What the f*** do they expect?? They sit around and make a tamasha in the parliament and scrw the country and everyone else just sit around twiddling their thumbs??

Even KAlam said yesterday that time is precious and advised the MPs not to waste time. Do you think that it will really happen??

Things have really gotten out of control since the BJP came into the opposition. Oh man!! they are such terrible, pathetic losers. They cant bear not being in power. No wonder this country does not progress..... All the so-called Progress is only skin deep.

This congress is also no less. Its also had a communal history of the 1984 sikh riots. Just it doesnt show but its just trying to attract the Muslim vote bank. Recently it gave the Aligarh Muslim University a minority status which was later quashed by the Supreme Court.

Kalam is a man of honour and respect. He is a truly secular man. He reads the Koran and the Gita both and is well educated too.

But then, whatever said and done, the LAW says that killing humans is wrong. PERIOD. Nothing we can do abt it.

Thats the law everywhere. You just cant change it.

Unless you read the Bhagavad Gita where youll realise killing of the wrong and the unlawful is not wrong.

If you really have to clean the system, hold a public hanging of the worst criminals(criminals who pose as law protectors i.e). Make a public spectacle out of it. Warn everyone else that if they dont fall in line, they could be next.

Our great human right activists will come in the line. This is inhumane and protesting this and that.

They even protested in Verappan' s case. I feel he was better killed. IF he wer alive, some politician would have got him bail, he would have again gone to the jungles and cut some more sandalwood trees and throats. Hes better off to hell!

yeah true....

BTW, I did not say that the Congress is secular :P What I said was the ruckus in the Parliament is mainly being caused by the BJP MPs. Ever since they lost, they have not been doing any work in the Parliament. They are only creating ruckus after ruckus. Shoot them all is what I would say.

And the 1984 riots were proof of Congress's "secular" principles.

Oh, you want to shoot the BJP?? The corruption has increased tremendously since the Congress has come to power. BJP and TDP over here had things in control.

And the state of the Indian economy which is today, the foundation has been laid by the BJP. The congress is just power hungry thats it. It is accepting all those members who have fought in their party and have seperated. EG: narayan rane in Maharashtra, raj thackrey too but he decided to go his own way. Dont you remember how NCP and Congress fought after the Maharashtra CM seat, Bihar assembly being dissoved and what not.

The congress and Gandhi are responsible for partition!!

congress i vote them right frm the time i got votting rights......but i still think......wht gandhi said...congress shd b abolished after independence.....becoz he came to know...ppl r joining it for there own benefits.....also i hardly remember any mp getting severe punishment by law...in any case...........so they cheat with our tax payers money.....

i guess right now the tax payers shd start blkmailing the govt...lik say amitabh bachan saying he will shift outside india if they keep pressing it charges against him(cmmon he is still the highest tax payer comparing to other richis of page 3 who shed ard 30-40lakhs every night e.g kishen mulchandani)...........why not such charges r levied on shiv sena...who claimed 421 crores frm kohinor mills...how does this beggars got such money...........all r chors....its better i guess try to reach a place and try your best to do for country without involving this middlemens

if in life i get to a decent position ill ofcourse keep a deal with the govtment say ill pay the tax....but ill decide myself in wht way countries need it........or else ill shift my base........

I did not say I want to shoot only BJP members...... given a chance I would shoot all of them irrespective of party :P

But if you think only Cong is power hungry, then you are wrong. In K'taka... the BJP and JD(S) are sworn rivals. But now to get power they have come together. Isnt that being hungry for power??

And the state of the Indian economy which is today, the foundation has been laid by the BJP.

To some extentm yes I agree with you. But then do remember that the revival of the economy began way back in early 90's with Manmohan Singh(another honest decent person in politics) as FM and PC also. And Rajiv Gandhi did do some good. We were almost 100% bankrupt. No forex at all and most countries were abt to say goodbye to loaning any more money to India. At that time Rajiv did do some good. But he too died too early. I am not saying he was a saint. But he did do some good for India.

Of course this was expanded in the NDA rule. But what I get pissed is that now tha tthey have lost power, they refuse to work. Preferring to make a lot of noise and disrupt the regular working of Parliament.

If they had not behaved like this, I would have forgiven them. They have ruined all the goodwill they created during the rule.

Not to mention all the internal bickering and fighting.

My opinion is dont pay tax. Just invest it in some tax saving policies like insurance(a very highly paying area too underestimated), savings accounts, etc.

imo, it was good but not as good as what people make it to be. however, i study film-making and i sit and analyze each and everything when i watch a movie so i do tend to get a bit nit-picky at times. i personally thought the whole transition of their characters from being the usual partying college crowd to what they became at the end was way too short. i would have liked to see some progress with that movie the english lady was filming before they started moulding into their freedom fighter roles. it almost felt like they changed the second they were handed that script.

definitely one of the better films to have come out recently though. some of the cinematography and frame compositions were awesome.

That was another superb movie!!! I think Swades and RDB and to some extent Lakshya were among the best movies in recent years.

I saw RDB couple of days back.. touched me... Good movie doston...

Bloody it proves that we still under some "RAJ"...earlier it was british raj .. today it is Politician raj... nothin' has changed in last 50+ years... still we have bhagat singh, raj guru, sukhdev... like people .. fightin' for the "much awaited" freedom...

It was bad to see the end but it justfies the movie...

This film sucks badly. This film is a copy of Telugu filum Yuvasena and this remake sucks badly.Only emotions and music are good. And the other things are jsut a pure **** remake of yuvasena.I want to sue these bunch of idiots .They dont even tell its a remake.F*** this bollywood. They couldnt even change the climax crap of telugu filum.Wasted Rs 50 on this crap remake.

I liked bhagat singh, azad, rajguru. Sue was good . AR Rahman rocked the theatre.Sexy background muzic.

if RDB is a remake of Yuvasena then yuvasena is inspired from indian history or bhagat singh movie..... hence yuvasena should also be crap :P

imo RDB could have been better :|
