He is not saying that 1.3~1.35v is too much for these CPU., but that you should be able to get 4.6GHz with a much lower voltages. Heck you can pump 1.3V and run the CPU at stock clocks, but that is not an optimal voltage is it? So see if you can run the CPU stable with lower voltages. Ofcourse not all CPU's are born equal even if they are the same model, but if there is a chance that it can run at lower voltages or you can oc more on your current voltage, then why the heck not?stormblast said:1.3-1.35vcore is a lot for 2600k?

I am running 4.5GHz @ 1.2V on my i5 2500k, Gannu is running 4.5 @ 1.24V, same goes for others running i5 2500k's. I am beginning to think that i5 2500k owners on the forum are getting better luck overclocking their CPU's (In terms of voltages and thermals) than the ones who got i7 2600ks.
