The Scariest Movie in the Horror Genre???

Hi guys,

Lately i have developed this liking for Horror flicks....and was wondering which movie according to you guys is the scariest flick of all.....

I found JUON to be the scariest.....
 
JUON is the Grudge, IMHO not scary at all.

i liked "dark water" and juon the grudge (japanese ones of course) and even better was "the ring" japanese version... they had aired it on HBO channel a while before the US versions were made...
 
Even I found JUON very good, if not the best scary.

I've been hooked to Horror genre since long, but the only movie that really scared me after watching was The Ring. It's not the movie that was scary while watching, it was the aftereffects. :)
 
Ringu The Japanese version of THE RING was scary.....and JUON again is the Japanese version of The Grudge....well i dont know about anybody else....but it scared the hell out of me.....The Exorcism of Emily Rose was good....if not very scary........Still waiting to see the Orphanage...heard its really good.... :D

It's pretty good, but it's not that scary. If you found JUON and Ringu (both original Jap versions) good, then nothing comes closer to it.

Overall I found that Asian horror flicks are in the league of their own... few more from Asian stable which I liked:

Shutter (2004/II) (Thai), I haven't seen the English version, neither I would want to...

Janghwa, Hongryeon (2003) (Korean, A Tale of Two Sisters).

Alone (2007) (Thai, Alone).

Also, see The Abandoned (2006)... the plot is not extraordinarily great, but the sound design and ambiance throughout the movie is mind-blowingly eerie.

There are many good asian movies, but I need to check "the list" as I don't remember the names. :)

Oh yeh... how can I forget Event Horizon... can't disagree with that bro, by far the best Sci-Fi Horror flick!
