^^I don't think so..The only thing you need for gfree is temp root (using Rage method or otherwise) and it can be run on Stock firmware!

No such issue, I just temprooted with the rage method, pushed gfree and ran it in su mode .. voila!

As I mentioned before, I was in no rush to root the damn thing but I picked it late in the evening and the store guy wasn't able to network unlock it.. so he asked me to take it along and see if I cld unlock it (with of course the rider he'd get me a refund/new piece if it couldnt be unlocked)

Gfree apart from root access also disables all network locks (super cid, s-on -> s-off, and network unlock)

Maybe it's just me, but this thing literally flies..

Whether it be the gallery or the browser or anything

BTW I checked CPU utilization playing a 720p mp4 and it was just 20%!!!

Playing back a 480p divx file (s/w decoding) and CPU util was still just 45%

Yup, it's pretty fast. It slowed down yesterday for me though, but that was due to the amount of apps I had running, and opening constantly, just for the heck of it! :D

Can't wait to see how faster the Nexus S is.
