Ubisoft out of the kindness of their hearts has released not one, but two demos for Sam Fisher's next romp out in the cruel terrorist-infested world - Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Note of major importance folks, you must have a Shader model 3.0 video card to run this demo (and game duh) so don't even download if you don't have a video card that supports Shader model 3.0. That being said, there is a single and multiplayer demo for you to sample Mr. Fisher's next adventure, the singleplayer demo clocks in at 850MB and the multiplayer demo clocks in at 790MB.
Dreamfall: the Longest Journey demo
A whopping eight months after the game's release, a whopping large playable demo for Dreamfall: the Longest Journey is now online, offering the chance to try out this 3D adventure sequel by Funcom. Details on the contents of this demo are not (yet) available so your adventuring mileage may vary, not in the least because the immense 3.5 GB download size could make it difficult to download using standard browsers that don't support files over 2.0 GB.
The next stage in the Command & Conquer Universe has begun. The demo of Command & Conquer 3 has been released and thousands of C&C fans around the world are already getting into the action. The demo totals at 1,206.8 MB
The demo gives you 3 tracks and 3 race types to try out.
Firstly there’s the point-to-point, against-the-clock action that’s a hallmark of the series. The demo pits you and your Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX against a testing Italian rally stage. This mode is also playable in multiplayer.
Secondly, test your nerve in off-road racing as you race against 9 fearsome AI drivers in a CORR class 1 buggy packing 650bhp.
Finally, take on the rally legend himself, Colin McRae, in a Subaru Impreza – the race is on a twisting tarmac crossover track in Germany.
