Third world in a political sense means independent neither in the American or communist camp. We're independents. Look it up.

Lesotho is not on the way to becoming a $10 tr economy like we are.

No, I'm saying he's retweeting a video that's wrong on simple verifiable facts like how much the market has crashed so far. The video creator is basically saying the market WILL crash more, and Trump is retweeting it, clearly not a smart move. He probably just saw it was praising him so retweeted it. :laughing:

He isn't too bothered about the stock market. Prices drop, good deals around, more money floods in and stock prices eventually recover. By which time other things will have happened.

It's a game of chicken alright..
But IMO there is an issue with the game from an American POV

They are by far the most consumerism driven society in the world and the general love for consumption cuts across economic classes.
Now a typical MAGA trump voter is more likely to go a Janta bazaar like Walmart where barring food, the shelves are almost entirely chinese produced.

At more upmarket stores like Target or even Macys, the proportion may not be as skewed as walmart but its still heavily dominated by China.

OTOH for China, exports to the US constitute 15% of their total exports. A drop of even 50% hits their topline by under 10%.. It will surely hurt them but likely manageable.
But a price rise of 25-30% (or more if tariffs go up further) will end up causing major immediate cognitive dissonance to the average MAGA voter ..It will indeed be interesting to see how it plays out
