It's a punishable offence with imprisonment upto 10 years. How did you even think it would be legal? Marijuana is a narcotic. Growing is equivalent to dealing which carries heavy punishment.

Heh some religious faggot said child killing is good, does that make it legal. Religion shouldn't govern laws in a modern society :ohyeah:

Narcotic abuse impairs judgment, so ethically it should not be encouraged. And no why would anyone try something that reduces your brain functionality over time beats me :)

In India, Marijuana is illegal for ALL purposes. Obviously the police does not/can not arrest sadhus smoking ganja/charas.

You don't arrest/jail a man who has nothing to loose. Moreover the police arrests people smoking pot to extort money from them. What can you expect to extort from a sadhu? His lota?
 
I think for medicinal use, its licensed or allowed legally in India.

Have seen its presence in some ayurvedic medicines.

Drug use is an extremely bad thing, I for one won't promote it.

I, heard a lot about mind enhancing drugs... heard those are used in USA, etc. a lot without much side effects... Heard these drugs can help in learning, concentrate, etc.

But can't find a buyer's guide for it here .... ;)

Yes, there are several, even showing name 'Ganja' in list of contents, again from famous companies...

Medical pot is legal even in India.
 
Having smoked pot in my college days for nearly 3 years continuously, and not having smoked it not one bit after I came back to mumbai, I can say it is its usually not the substance , but up to the person if it is addictive or not. Maybe some chemical and genetic thing.

I dont think the drug has impaired me or something. ( you be the judge :P )

But yeah, i would still put it in the leagues of smoking a cigarette.
 
Although Medical Marijuana is legal in California... Marijuana is not... but as is the case with this substance it is so prolific in some places arond the world(like California) that it is really not taken that seriously. In California if you are caught with pot by the police, they will likely take it away and throw it out (or smoke it themselves) Anything less than an ounce in a single bag is considered a misdemeanor and you could get a ticket... but most likely won't. (If it is split up into many bags they could arrest you for intent to deal... but probably wouldn't) It is not uncommon to walk down the street and smell someone smoking it somewhere I notice it regularly, especially at events, concerts, street fairs etc.....

One of the main arguments of making it legal is that is is generally less altering than lacohol, and people that have smoked pot are less likely to get into an accident when driving than people that have been drinking.

In the famous words of many a Rastafarian song...... "Legalize it"
