Hi all....finally W960i is here at stores in India :clap: .....got a mail today from SE....but the link given doesnt work! Can anyone check it out at ur local store....how much does it costs?

Mumbai wallahs plz help...u get latest stuff first...:cool2:
 
hey i m just dying to get my hands on one..........but there's no way it must have come in India.............it has been released in UK.............that i m sure.............i got a notification mail frm Sony W960i - Sony Ericsson W960i Mobile Phone.............

and i too am worried abt the price.................i did a search in the internet forums and came out with starting price of Rs44,000:O thi s is no joke as i saw this almost a1 month back..........may b i hope they can bring it down to 25k........it wud b a dream come true.............the fone has simply drooling specs:rolleyes:

I also got the e-mail informing of the launch of the W960i (I'd registered for the alert on the Sony Ericsson website), but since then I've been checking with various outlets, and no sign of the phone :-(

The latest I've heard is that it "should" be available in stores sometime next week, but that's also tentative.

So, that's the reply from a Bombay-wallah......

Is it possible to install the applications/softwares in it as we do in Nokia?

Whats the difference between Symbian UIQ and NOrmal symbian or S60???

Wait for a while. W950 was priced at 28k when launched, now its available for 11k from grey market.

Normal Symbian OS (or S60 as you say) does not support touch-screen based devices! Hence they have a new User Interface to work on top of Symbian! I guess even the base OS is different from the ones in Nokia phones ! So basically its just the User-Interface (UIQ) which aint pretty IMO!
 
At this price SE might have some serious problems selling this phone. The indian price does not make any sense. Its putting it in the same range as 2 big boys from Nokia with more features and probably more functionality.
 
man somebody please give me a the price of this phone :help: :anyone: .........i m really am desperate to buy this one...........either some one tell me the exact price or its approximate price range and in which shop (in mumbai of course) its availabe????????? the shop name and its address as well????????/
