I remember being a broke teenager playing TW3 for the first time (torrent to the rescue!). Man, I was blown away! The Witcher 3 instantly became my favourite game ever. Fast forward to the Cyberpunk release, I bought it and preloaded it on Steam only to try playing it for a week and forgetting about it 
I console myself by saying that I paid for The Witcher 3, just a lot later haha
