Laptops There's a noise whenever I connect any earphone with my Dell Inspiron 6400!

Hello

Whenever I connect any earphone to my Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop, immediately some electonic gheez bheez noise comes. i've tried it with Creative ep 630 and Sennheiser cx300. This static noise remains even when I mute my sound and always remain at constant level. How to get rid of it!!:S
 
i feel your earphones are good !

i have a dell inspiron 1525

till now i haven't face this problem!

the same noise comes when the speakers are on?

better exchange it if it is in warranty!
 
it looks to me like some kind of emf interference. switch off the bluetooth and modem if possible and then try connecting the earphones.

even i hear some weird sound at regular intervals in my earphones if the bluetooth dongle is attached to the pc.
 
^^ Same thing happens with my pc and ep-630 if i have bluetooth dongle attached to my front panel usb ports . Either freeing bluetooth usage, or connecting dongle to usb ports on my monitor/back panel fixes the problem.
 
its a known issue with dell inspirons.

its more of a hardware issue. however u can try disabling your wireless to see if ur wireless card is causing that.
