So in the end maybe those users who don't care much for new and powerful features will stick with whatever they use, and the adventurous will venture away from the windows world. Hopefully so, anyway.
But MS is not one to just stand around, they may see to it that new applications don't run on anything older than longhorn, and users will have to upgrade.
