have you even been following the series????

This is not the best batting lineup that India has produced but this certainly is one of the best forms our batsmen have been in.

The best batting line up was this :

Sehwag

Gangully

Dravid

Tendulkar

Yuvraj

Laxman

Kaif

Irfan

This was when Dravid used to keep wickets. 2 years back nobody would have imagined an Indian cricket Team without Dravid, Gangully and Tendulkar. Times sure change.

But when was last time the whole batting line up was in form. Or when was the last time you could rely on the no 6 and no 7 batsman to finish the game for us. Dravid and Laxman were never one day specialist. Dada always had problems with short ball. And Kaif just had two good seasons. By no means i am saying that that team was bad. Even Rohit Sharma in the current team is not up there with others. But the good thing about this team is that just about everybody can play at any place. We have three wonderful openers who can play every shot in the book.

When Sachin says "Its the best batting line up he has ever played with." He means exactly the same. Last game without sehwag we posted 392. This game without sachin we posted 200+ in 23 overs. In Sri Lanka Gambhir played a knock of 150. That means in last 7 games all three openers have made 150+ runs in one of the inngs. What else do we wnat from this team.

I truly belive that this is the best batting line up ever india has produced(With everybody in form). The nos and series wins speak for themselves. Mark my words we are witnessing histroy in making.

World Cup 2003.

I agree with the rest of your reply about the form.

Stop kidding yourself. It was because of Sachin we got there. We got lucky with England in Durban and we were fortunate enough to get Kenya as the opponent in the semifinals.

Australia "thrashed" in both the matches we played with them. And unfortunately sachin didn't get runs in both. The only good thing we can take from the WC2003 was the Sachin's innings against Pakistan. Boy it was some trashing Sachin gave to both Shohaib and Wasim.

Do u guys think Sachin can make it till the next world cup? I surely hope he does and as usual score loads of runs and India lifts the cup. Sachin deserves to be a part of the world cup winning team.

Read the posts and understand the context in which that statement was made. The person with whom I was arguing stated that one of the factors India won the match (and the series) was that the DL equation worked out in our favor throughout the series.

If you are ready to challenge my argument, go ahead and post some facts.

I certainly hope so. It's only a question of him keeping himself fit.
