While coming from Pune to Satara(My hometown), my beloved C220 gave me a whopping mileage of 4.5L/100 km..:ohyeah::ohyeah: i was just amazed by how the diesel engines have developed.. I now prefer the merc over the accord n the embera.. :P :P coz they give a measly 7kmpl which is really bad for a petrol vehicle..:S

big deal, my zen gives 25kmpl :bleh:

In your dreams... Or you are calculating with the cng/lpg kit...

Those are some good numbers there. I guess my VDi should be able to match the same.

Though there was a challenge on the BBC with a Toyota Prius head to head with a BMW 3 Series. The BMW won convincingly. And i am talking about mileage here.

Good drive there, u must have driven very very sober, and steady. Unlike some of us...

Zen Di, even the merc in question here is a D, why wud I compare a petrol car to a diesel? duh :P

and i was being sarcastic there, but that doesnt mean my car doesnt do 25KMpl on highways :P

that was a prius vs a bmw M3, and the prius was driven flat out with the M3 following it....
thats why the M3 gave better figures(it gave a glorius 19MPG), after all it is following that measly box with its 4litre V8, crawling along

The prius is a hybrid car. I dont understand how it did 19mpg when its supposed to do around 50 mpg

The Prius Vs BMW M3 was done as a Top Gear episode... it was done to prove that Hybrids can be environmentally more damaging than a sports car! :ohyeah:

"It isn't what you drive that matters, it's how you drive it." Best Quote in the vdo :hap2:

Prius is run by electric motors upto the speed of about 20Kmph, after that the petrol engine kicks in which isint all that efficient, so if you run the car flat out, it'll be running on the petrol engine and use a lot of fuel, that 50mpg figure is obviously a bloated figure but the car will give more average in stop-start stuff like city driving, definitely not 50 mpg though
