Where are you guys?
Even a year ago it was pretty crowded. But now this section almost looks deserted. I too am not much active here since I don't get any time now.
If you are still there & reading this then kindly post in this thread. :D .
It will be nice if we can spare some time & post at least once every week.

Well, I do update the gaming backlog/progress thread once in a while. But yeah that's it. There also, most of the posts are by you only I guess.
 
Hardly any time left for gaming now a days.....
Gone are the days when every now and then new games released and were on budget in terms of disk space.
So we used to install couple of them and play alternatively.:p

But now owing to very huge space demand you can only afford to install a game or two and make sure you complete it fully before removing it and making place for the next space hungry giant...:meh:

Right. After marriage and child, I get very little time for gaming. I just about mange to take out 3-4 hrs that too on weekends. Takes a hell lot of time to finish off games now. I remember when Max payne 2 came out, I sat for 2 nights straight to finish it off. Feels like another lifetime.
 
...and hence I dont even feel the need to upgrade graphics card or even my system (seems to be a waste of money for that ltd. temporary satisfaction) as even after any upgrade it will end up as a waste of rich resources as it wont even be utilized 50% of its capability.:facepalm:

I still have couple of latest games just lying in one of my disks but feels very lazy to actually mount and install those as all this will eat up my time to first free up some valid disk space to install and then another hour to actually install them and then tweak the game settings to suit my system config and further only I can actually think off playing and worst more when will I finish this damn game?? :singing:...sorry cant afford all this now!!
 
I am playing at the rate : One game per Year :D
Last year played FC4, and year before it was Tomb Raider. Indeed it sucks to be grown up.
I don't even have a discrete GPU now. And my xbox360 is collecting dust. :(
(Only game I have on my PC is CS:GO - runs fine on intel graphics)
 
I finished farcry 4 last week. I have been playing it since Dec 14 thanks to the frequent frowns and taunts from my better half. I would have butchered pagan min in like 2-3 days flat with a decent night's sleep had if I had my way. I haven't upgraded my pc in 3 years. The 660ti was the last upgrade. That said I have upgraded to a bigger flat, bought home appliances I never would have bought and changed 5 sets of curtains.

LOL, My wife had finally made some peace with it (well at least somewhat) that this hobby is gonna stay. But now with my <1 yr old trying to grab the controller from my hands, it's becoming more and more difficult :D.
 
Heh, I was thinking of starting the exact same topic the other day. The Year Beast event is going on in Dota 2. Too busy trying to get some item sets. Not many PC games coming out nowadays anyways. Witcher 3 is in May, GTA V is March. Homeworld Remastered coming out this week though, maybe will pick it up. Overall gaming is not as exciting as it used to be. All we get are sequels, formulaic games and console ports as an afterthought. I am tired of franchises.
 
I'm here... have been. I do post regularly on the Gaming Backlog/ Progress thread as and when I end up completing a title.
 
Well for starters 2014 was the worst year in gaming for me, i have played only 3 games in the past 15 months most of which appeared in 2013 (Batman:AO, TWD season 2, Wolf Among us).
I partly blame it on my experience as a game tester and the endless amount of overhyped uninspiring broken games that were released last year.
I also started playing more smaller indie games in my spare time (Gone Home, Stanley Parable, Papers, please, Brothers, etc) just because i wanted a different experience instead of the generic stuff that was being released constantly.

2015 looks promising though, some impressive games coming up in the next 2-3 months that i'm really interested in playing (TW3, Batman;AK, GTAV, MGS5).
Also i'll be picking up some titles i missed last year in the summer sale (Wolfenstein, Shadow of Mordor, Alien:Isolation, Transistor, Vanishing of Ethan Carter, FC4, Shovel Knight) so things are looking up a bit on the gaming front.
 
Yeah, Wolfenstein TNO and DA Inquisition were the only two games that stood out for me last year, and even then DAI was not without issues. Been meaning to pickup Shadow of Mordor for sometime now, but it's been out for so long that it will probably be on sale soon.

Yea i'm not interested in DA, too many fetch quests and bad camera control on PC is what i heard. Also too much homosexuality for my taste from what i've seen on youtube, nothing personal against it but there's too much gay propaganda in all kinds of media these days.
Had zero interest in Shadow too since it looked like Assassins of Arkham from the get go but my friends just won't stop recommending that game, not getting my hopes too high up though, going into all those games with zero expectations.
 
Sometimes I revert back to some good old games... I still enjoy playing bulletstorm, nfsmw, recoil, warzone, doom3, old cod, moh, crysis etc. And many others...

I still miss and regret of not completing Command and Conquer-Uprising....and can't even think of restarting this game as it takes a lot of time n dedication to conquer all territories and win the game. Tough game i must say but very much enjoyable.:p

To add- i still have original setup files for many popular old games since 90s. Esp. have all setups of Nfs series right from nfs1. :D:cool:
Had many CS mods and cod mods as well.
Still got all dos games cracked incl dave, bm, wolf 3d, heretic etc....;)...preserved for next gen.
