Need to build a rig/buy a gaming laptop.

Then there will be one more steam guy among you.
 
Unless you absolutely do not have the space for a full system or move around a lot, build a desktop. It will have more performance for the money and generally be easier to maintain/upgrade. Decent gaming laptops are very expensive in India.

Even I used my laptop for gaming for last 4 yrs or so but now I'll surely build a desktop next.
 
I too agree ... after using gaming laptops for 4 years i move to desktop and been going solid for 4 years now, just upgraded my card and nothing else. If it was lappy would have had to upgrade the whole thing. and still would have been only able to get medium levels in graphix.
 
I used to play every game 2 years back. Then marriage happened. I did buy some games and installed and played for some time. Even bought a second hand ps3 to play GTA5 when it released on the release date. That was the last game i played fully. Took a month to finish it.

After that bought some second hand ps3 games which finished. Major was uncharted series. But now family is not even allowing me to sit on computer stating i do not spend time with them. And cant even play on TV as it is already hacked by family members(stupid serials).

The no of games on pc have come down as developers now concentrating on mobile platforms. Good games are even more scarce.

Had upgraded my pc when sandy bridge processors released, Since then its almost 4 years havent upgraded my pc. Havent even felt the need. I think i will upgrade only when my proccy or gpu fails.:-)

Dont know when the good old days will come back.

^ Almost on the same boat as you. My laptop has gone kaput and currently all my gaming happens on PS3. playing out the missed out exclusives buying used games from OLX. But the only gaming time I get is fri and sat nights after everyone has gone to sleep.

Play on your PC when they are watching the serials ;) If you are short on time now, wait till you get a kid. I have a friend who has a demanding wife and family. He squeezes out time for our coop sessions when his wife is watching Big Boss, saas bahu etc. Tough life bro.
