+1 I really hate when they do that and honestly I dont respect folk like these that much... infact my eyes just glide over them (overlook).

hmmm...i try to avoid sms lingo and short forms...but sometimes while typing it in a hurry..it just happens and i am so used to adding these dots after every sentence ..i sometimes just cant help it ..but try my best to avoid it or EDIT the posts seconds after posting it ...

i just hope people dont find my posts annoying to read :P

i always thought that FaH33m looked better than Faheem ..there was nothing pathetic, lame and so wannabe-ish. about it ?

anyways no offence taken ..

i just changed it to FaH33m cause i thought it looked good ..didnt know that people would find the name annoying :(

People don't like it because thats what they think is "cool" after browsing through sites like bash and somethingawful. I can assure you that half the people here against l33t speak started off by "LOL'ing" and "ROFL'ing" and the occasional "ROFLCOPTER'ing" when they were just introduced to the internet.

I mean obviously, l33t speak is kinda retarded, but so are you for letting it trouble you this much. Be cool like me, send sms'es in l33t speak and post normally on forums.

apparently whoever deleted 133t's post probably didn't get the joke

@ '133t- me ready to play grammar Nazi anytime:disguise2

@l33t - You were trying to irritate others in your way, I was trying to irritate you in mine :P This is a general talk section anyway. Dont think anyone would post like that in tech sections

Ya..it kind of has become a habit for me too which i am trying to avoid. Though i find the usage of words like 'abt', 'thx', 'ppl' understandable, what really pisses me off is the use of words like 'ma' instead of 'my'.. I mean it makes no sense since after all you are using the same amount of characters. i.e 'a' instead of a 'y'.It seems more like you are a Black American :@

No offence to anyone !

Nice to see quite a few people against it. I thought I was the only one. SMS lingo as the name suggests should be restricted to SMS only and not on forums, furthermore such lingo is difficult to grasp for people whose native language is not English or those who are not fluent in it.

 I deleted his posts (and restored em too later). I have followed his posting style enough to know he is harldy ever serious. Was just pushing him around. :bleh:

and if a lot of other guys find my name change annoying i will request the admins to change it back to normal when there's a next name change session sometime later :(.

One or two instances in a post is ok, but more than that or a post full of SMS lingo / inverted characters using numbers becomes an eyesore.

I still don't know the exact meaning of some words commonly used in TE.

eg: "meesa" , I guess it stands for "I" .

Wats the big deal..??

Dont really understand why some people are soo touchy abt stupid things..?

Isnt it enough if the guy's sharing knowledge with you???

Understood that u arent forcing him to post but then even he's not forcing u to read, ignore if u hav so much problem..;)
I mean it shows the way people hav become in india..:@

Ur not any different from those proposing to ban cheergirls and all..Hell, u guys arent any different from Rakhi Sawant too

Get a life guys..Lead by example, if people like it, they will start following it..else they'll risk getting ignored by others....Why bother??

^^He meant wit, ;)

And no need to change ur name for a matter of couple of ppl faheem. It was ur will to get it changed since u liked it that way round.

U're offending nobody else either. :)
