Congrats , This is something BIG , Something i actually consider top-tier .

Just post pics here in this thread itself .

U know what , u have made a perfect decision going with Westone 3 , With even UM3X , u wont would have been much satisfied .

Just see how this IEM keeps u satisfied for long :)
 
^ I hope he gets the tip & the fit right. Going by Joker's review, opinions on W3 can vary widely depending on the fit.

May be strategy will get UM3X and help us decipher how it sounds :P
 
Strategy is on fire , Spent a hell lot on customs !!

I dont think he should buy anything after custom's in IEM's .

Its better and advisable , if he add's to his CAN's collection now .

I guess its best to read your views , your impressions all together at one place .
 
^ strategy bought FX700 after ordering Miracle, IIRC :p

He already is satisfied with K702, which still has a few thousand hours of burn-in left to be completed. So, don't think he's gonna buy any new headphones for sometime.

Ya right , dont spoil ur westone's in daily commute .

Must say , this westone 3 is a great buy !!

I did a lot of research and found them to be perfect , even better than SM3 and UM3X .

Just See u dont have any fit issues with them .
 
thanks dude... i realy love the design.. i loved the eternas tooo .. the fit was perfect.. i pray that westones fit perfectly

in january i will get the ortofone eq-7 or sm3...

Congrats doc.......i've bin dying to try the Westone 3. The instrument separation should be amazing. Do post your review once you get it form anks.
 
@faheem no yaar.. me just a budding dentist....its becomes really tough when getting those iems through icc but if somebody comes from abroad its is lot cheaper...:ohyeah:

last month there were many happy patients so thanks to my patients and anks22042 for the vibes 2 and westone3:P

Lots of competition. I should own at least 5 of the Top-tiers by then to keep up :P.... and I actually might :ashamed:

And Doc! get a e-Q5 instead of e-Q7. Said to be a tad better in treble according to James444.
 
So strategy, do you think UM3X at 18k is a good offer?

Also anubhav, can you explain/link me up when you say that W3 is better than UM3X?
 
WOW, westone 3, good good , said to be an improved TF10. with good mids.
yes esantosh is right , i will only spend in super end full sized headphones viz. the HD800, LCD2, HE6 or who knows a, sony R10 :P ( or the legendry quaila or the orpheus combo :fear: )

before all that i will get a good amp, cause i have read every upgrade in amp/dac changes the AKG k702 dramatically. Some even say The K702 come around HD800 when paired with a good $5000 setup! so that is what i will be aiming at after i get my dream portable setup! :D (and there is some time in that )

@dragonball ..b/w w3 and um3x.. as said on the first page of this thread , its all preference , some might throw away their SM3, while some might kill them for throwing it !!

Um3X has awesome imaging and ultimate balanced sound for a universal, while W3 is more intimate and enjoyable.

UM3X for 18K is too much IMHO. but you can get them shipped free at your doorstep at 14-15K(removable cable charge) form earphonesolutions.com they have a 20% offer iwth free shipping going on ( see in the blackfriday section in hot deals ) ...you just have to ask them to undervalue.

+1 for this . Its all about personal preference when it comes to top - tier's .

I did a extensive research on top-tiers and was almost finalised on SM3 , then shifted to Westone 3. ( as my taste is a bit punch of bass notes and less sparkling treble ) . But finding Westone 3 @ 399$ , i thought its better to leave iem's ...and move to CAN's .

Its my personal opinion , that even a top-tier IEM of roughly 400$ cant give the same quality and soutstage compared to a similar can of 400$ ; paired with a proper amp .

Now for cans:-

Confused with these . Will keep shuffling between them .

1. ATH - M50

2. Beyerdynamic - DT150 (250ohm)

3. Beyerdynamic - DT880 ( 600ohm)

4. Denon D2000 / D5000 ( depending on my budget that time )

Will go step by step .

And for the perfect output frpom these babies , i need to buy a DAP + AMP .

Confused between .

* Mavericks D1

* Audinst HUD MX1

P.S - In IEM's , i can still grab a deal for DDM , DBA-02 and Silver bullet ( rev2 ) . Can buy them @ Nice offers .
