Just Got back from Jaben and stereo an hr back. My ears still cant believe what they just heard..... OMG!!!!!
THE GRADO PS1000(2600SGD) AND THE ULTRASONE EDITION 10(3999SGD)
Here are the impressions from jaben as noted on my iPhone notes app(pardon my cutshort review, natalspree had to catch his flight)
Radius ddm : not very engaging, laid back, smooth mids, but not very lush. Fairly neutral. Good detailing, fairly decent *soundstage.
Ortofon eq7 : Lacks a bass punch, excellent mids, very engaging mids, very forward, good soundstage, lacks a bass punch, no sub bass, no texture in the bass, did I mention excellent mids

the lack of bass makes it an absolute no no for edm listeners. The thing abt edm music is in almost every song, especially the part when the sounds increase and get louder from a slower : softer part, it's followed by a powerful bass punch which falls flat and entirely impactless on the eq7.
Westone Um3x : is more flatter, kinda neutral, treble is more controlled, bass is a tad lesser as compared to the tf10s.*
Westone 3 : simply loved them, made my day. Excellent separation, as good as the tf10's. *Smooth mids, beautiful clean highs, excellent build quality. Nice punchy bass, tight & controlled, not as textured as the tf10's. Infact that is the only dept the tf10's feel unbeatable.. Wide soundstage & bass. If I had to buy an iem after owning the tf10 it wud be the Westone 3.
Westone es2 cable : boomy bass treble sparkle of the twilight is lost
Bass overpowers the mids. Me n metalspree both agreed that the Es2 is a no no. And that the twilight cable is better than this, unless ur a basshead( and I mean a whole different level of basshead, it had too much boom even for me).
Ue rainbow cable : I must say I was taken aback when I saw them. But the moment I tried them, I cudnt believe I'm listen to the tf10s. The mids become very forward and the soundstage goes massive, bass gets flatter and much more controlled. The soundstage was bigger than any iem. Whoever thought the tf10s have a V-shaped freq curve shud get this cable.
Rsa hornet : smooth, lush, reduces the bass a bit. Excellent for mids and treble. There was a slight imbalance while turning the volume pot. Dint expect it from an Rsa product. Put these babies on high gain and they can drive even the d5000 with the volume pot just at 25% volume. Quite impressive. Also tried the ttvj, even though the ttvj have an excellent form factor with the sflo2/iPod touch but the hornet sounds better.
Any guesses for which one i think is better, the grado ps1000 or ultrasones???
